2 weeks ago I started with the new Elfball 2007 project. I want to have the custom made pitch ready for the gaming fair in Stuttgart/Germany (15.-18.11.2007) were I want to present this game together with Lines, who is making the German translation of the rules.

I think it will draw more attention to Elfball, when I post the thread about the building on BGG:

Great looking start. Keep us posted about updates. I like the looks of this. It's giving me some ideas.

Today I made a big step forward. Yesterday I got the templates from a good friend and today I finished the markings of the hex field and the circles.

You can see every step in this thread:
http://www.boardgamegeek.com/article/1739642#1739642

I have to say: I'm very happy with the result :

Man thats just too good!

I was just watching Michael Palin on the TV, and he was in Poland, and I was thinking, man Im so gonna go on holidays there next year, so after seeing that board, I got to see it in the flesh on a slight detour!

That is one REALLY nice pitch! You even got the bald spots right. They aren't random, they're were they belong! Great job.

Tom, I think you boys need to shell out and have Frank build one for Gencon next year. That would look seriously killer at the booth.

Yes it would but I kinda like to draw folks in by showing them what they'll actually be buying.

Frank might be doing demoes on it to help try to sell the game in Germany ... so he'll have to let me know how that works (ie this pitch vs folks realizing the one if the box is more plain).

Galak

Yes, juergen, you have to come.
B7 is GREAT!

And we could play some Elfball in the evenings

Frank, can´t wait to play on your field... 2,5 weeks to go.
Hope I get my deadlings painted in time...

I know, I was there 2 years ago and I enjoyed it very much. Last year I couldn't come because I didn't want to leavy my (back then) 2month old son. Furthormore my local football team played the eurobowl this weekend and I worked filming the game.

I really really hope the date works better for me this year. My tent is already packed
