Hey,
Just a thought after looking at the Custom Elfball board in the other thread.
Impact! could make templates that would allow custom modders to design their own circular fields. You could even, if the idea were a really good one, scale the templates appropriately so that the 40mm (Ice Troll...) bases could fit into a single hex.
I realize that one downside to this is that they would sort of compete with the Elfball board sales... but I don't really see it as much competition since the Elfball boards are complete while the templates just let us run wild with making custom boards.
Anyways, just a thought.

Interesting ... right now my time is completely slammed. Maybe something to consider. I'm trying to keep the size of the monsters to fit on 30mm bases.

Anyone who's crafty enough to take on a project like this, probably doesn't need a template . And if they do, Litko already has hex templates in various sizes.
Not that competition is a reason to give up on the idea, but it does seem like a strange offshoot project for Impact to take on at this point. IMHO...
