In case you have your own miniatures and want to try creating your own team. Here are the design rules I used.
Core Rules are rules that all 17 teams follow and I made sure that they did.
The Guideline Rule is a rule has is highly encouraged to be followed (but some teams have an exception to this rule).
| Quote: | Core Rules
1) Every player should have their 6 attribute sum to 21.
2) Every team shoud have 12 player possible on a full team (no more/no less)
3) Every team should have at least 2 players with Tackle of 4.
4) Player types of Cheater should have a Tackle of 4 or more.
5) Jog >= 3
6) Dodge <= 5
7) No attribute other than Jog can be more than 6
8) No attribute can be less than 1
9) Players with a Might of 5 or more should be Type: Monster
10) Core player names have the same stats always:
Defender = 5/4/4/2/2/4
Hunter = 6/3/4/3/2/3
Midfielder = 6/3/3/3/3/3
Safety = 7/3/3/3/2/3
Striker = 6/3/2/4/4/2
Thrower = 6/2/3/3/4/3
Guideline Rules
1) Might + Dodge <= 7
2) Might + Skill <= 6 (if Might is 6 than Skill should be 1). |
=====
Okay so with those in mind ... the 19 teams follow these rules pretty darn well. Only 4 players break the Guideline rule:
1) Gnomish Contraptions have Might+Dodge of 8.
2) The Tantor has Might+Dodge of 8.
3) Dryads have Might+Dodge of 8.
4) Strikers have Might+Skill of 7
====
So if you wanted to create your own team for some reason (folks always love to do this it seems). Those were the rules and guideline that I used.

Since we now got a frog with skill 0, does the rule number 8 still apply?
(You see, I´m still thinking about extreme teams ) |

Ugh, I hate Thread Necromancy, but its my first day and I apologize and promise not to do it again (at least for a while).
So, if one were to create their own team using these guidelines, is there a limit enforced as to how many Midfielders, Strikers, Hunters, etc that a team can have? _________________ This is where I would put something witty. |

There is a limit of 12 positions total. (0-4 Midfielders, 0-8 Doodads for example) but other than that I don't think there are any specific limits.
There have been some unofficial teams created in the past. Kobolds, Cavemen (?), Amazons with a tiki flavor...I know I'm forgetting something.
Anyway, there around here somewhere.
Just do twelve positionals, draw it up post it and let us mock it for awhile. _________________ "I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody."

Oh, my thought processes haven't advanced that far yet to actually create my own team. If I did, it will be a conglomerate of older FF miniature singles that aren't really part of a team anymore. Kinda like an All-Stars team of dwarves, ratmen, orcs and others (like, one of each race). With lots of drinking going on behind the scenes.
I was just wondering if a team consisting of all Midfielders and nothing else (except the need to have a minimum of two players with Tackle 4 or more) would be legal.
I guess I'll be mocked for it no matter what, won't I? _________________ This is where I would put something witty. |

An all midfielder team
It wouldn't scare me. I'd have no problem with it.
If I was to do a mixed race team I would use the Middle Kingdoms roster or the Orc roster and swap out minis as I wanted them. Example:
A "good guys" mix race team would be...
Middle Kingdoms
2 Mifielders = 1 MK Midfielder & 1 Valkyrie
2 Monsters = 1 Cyclops & 1 Gnome Contraption (using cyclops stats)
3 Safeties = 1 Anubis, 1 Cheetah, 1 MK Safety
3 Strikers = 1 Desert Dog, 1 Divine Wind, 1 Timber Elf
2 Throwers = 1 Valkyrie, 1 MK or Desert Dog
A "bad guy" mix race team would be...
Orcs
2 Defenders = 1 Sobek, 1 Black Rock Dwarf (using defender stats)
2 Hunters = 1 Black Widow, 1 Night Elf
4 Midfielders = 1 Gnoll, 1 Razorback, 1 Orc, 1 Scarecrow
2 Hobimps = 2 Hobimps,
1 Thrower = 1 Hyena
1 Troll = 1 Troll
Two mixed race teams! Ta-da!
