For some reason this game has caught my imagination. I'm not sure quite why because I'm not the world's biggest basketball fan. However, I do like fantasy sports and it looks like a fast game that can be played in under an hour (or 1/2 hour if playing to 11 points as pointed out on another thread). I think I'll be picking up a copy when it's available.

In the meantime, I was just having a trawl around the internet and found this very nice 3d Court on Boromor and Kermit's Hobby Page

Nuthin But Net Court

Very nicely done. Might have to try something like this myself eventually.

Thanks Dave, it didn't really take all that long. It was the marking of the hexes that was the time drainer! :)

I made it a full court for running two games simulataneously and also in case my full court variant was ever developed. I prefer the game as half court. Much faster. :)

Any questions, feel free to ask.

Cheers,
Ben.

I'm not sure if this is in the rule book, but what is the size of Hex you recommend? I want to try my hand at building a court, but am not sure what size to make it.

BME (BattleTech Map Editor) is an great free program that allows you to print free hex maps. Obviously it was intended for BattleTech, but it can easily be used for most any game needing a hex map. While the program has some printing issues, it does have the option to save as a .jpg which allows you to edit and print it with other programs. Being able to make your own maps has strong appeal, print them and glue them to a backer and you have an instant game board! It's an old program but it still serves it's purpose just fine. While the original website has disappeared, the folks at PRI have kept it available for game fans, hosting it on their own site.

BME can be found >>>Here!<<<. . .

That's a great idea Thom.

Miyuso, the size of the hex doesn't really matter. As long as they are all uniform.
If you are playing with a team that has a player with a larger base size (for example the goblins with the troll or the orcs with the ogre, then you could try 40mm hexes. Otherwise, 30mm hexes would work a treat.

Cheers,
Ben.
