Hi!

I'm planning to sell some miniatures on ebay, but I haven't used ebay, neither for buying nor for selling. So I need a little help. can you please explain me how to do it and if I have to pay something?

Thanks a lot,

Mephisto

EBay nickel and dimes you to death. You won't have to pay up front, only after the item sells. The exact fee depends on what options you choose when you sell it. Mine generally go around 25 cents to 35 cents per auction.

Before you start on eBay it would behoove you to get a Paypal account if you don't have one already. I think it's the most common form of payment on ebay.

But after that if you go to eBay and create an account it will walk you through most of the steps. I don't have much advice for creating an account, I have done it so long ago that I'm pretty sure it's different now.
But once you create an account you can link it to your Paypal account, since they are owned by the same company.

After that to sell you just click "Sell" at the top of the page and it will take you through the steps. There are two options "Keep it Simple" and "Customize Your Listing"
IMO "Keep it Simple" is the best unless you wanna do some html work or put a reserve price on it. Most of the time reserves are a turn off to people and so is excessive html.

The only other advice I can give you is to buy a couple of things, pay for them, and get some feedback. I'm more likely to buy from someone who has a rating of 2 or 3 at !00% positive than I am from somebody with no feedback.

Oh and advertise your auctions on message boards. Most have "trading posts" that allow this sort of thing and it really ups your exposure.
(Much to Darkson's dismay.   )
