Hey Nestyr,
Thanks for posting these. It appears that the link you have in between the IMG sections isn't the actual image, but the link to where to view it. I think that's the only problem.
I could copy those links into my browser and bring up the place to view the photos (which I did) and I have to say - that ring is bloody fantastic! Great work! Was this with foamcore and an eyelet?
Cheers,
Ben. _________________ Nuthin' But Net Designer and all around Frog nut! |

Ahhh...
Thanks for that - I think I can fix this so they will show up...
The net is made from Evergreen strip styrene (available at all good hobby stores! ), with the pole being 3/16" square tube, the base from one of the thicker plain sheets, and the backboard from a thinner plain sheet.
Yes, the ring is an eyelet.
Because I'm a bit OCD, I've even made it to scale - 10' (50 mm) to the ring; 12' (60 mm) to the top of the backboard, and the backboard is 3'6" (17.5 mm) x 6' (30 mm) - the eyelet is almost the correct diameter, at 8 mm diameter (sorry, it should be 7.5 mm... )
I love the strip styrene 'cause you can glue it with plastic glue, and it has a great bond, as the parts melt together...
Cheers,
Nestyr
