Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyy over-subscribed.
From what I've been told (by a mate who's plays in the British american football league (amateur!), they're going to do a draw or similar for the tickets.
No idea if it's on the box or not, but I suspect it will be - it would be unlike Sky for them to miss a trick like that.
As for being expensive, well, watching major sport in the UK is expensive, and the NFL is still very popular here. _________________ What the hell am I doing on a mini's forum? I DON'T PAINT!!!

Ah, okay. I didn't really know how popular it was. I didn't think you guys were a fair sample because of fantasy football.
Those tickets aren't really expensive for NFL tickets (pretty cheap really!)...but I was assuming they were being sold in a country where most people would be only mildly interested.
Well, wembley holds about 90,000, they're execting about 10,000 US fans to fly in, and the games big in Germany, if not elsewhere in Europe, so filling the ground won't be a problem.
To be honest, apart from the obvious logisitcal problems, a proper NFL team in Europe (London, Germany, Spain) would probably be a sucess. I can't speak for other countries, but the London Monarchs (and NFL Europe in general) failed here mainly because we don't want to see a "reserve team" playing, with a sprinklng of stars in the twilight of their career, and a few famous UK sportsman making token appearences (Clive Allen, the Scottish rugby guy), we want a proper team with current players.
Let's just say a franchise moved to the UK (perhaps not London, as it's an expensive place to visit week in, week out), and took one of the decent football grounds (if they're big enough). I'd bet they could fill it week after week. _________________ What the hell am I doing on a mini's forum? I DON'T PAINT!!!

You know they could do a European division. That way they would play the majority of their games vs. each other and only the rest would require a trans Atlantic flight. They could also work the away games economically and two at once.
How different is flying across the Atlantic from flying across the USA? I mean Seattle vs. Tampa is something like a 2500-3000 mile flight.
Granted New York to Berlin or London is bigger, but half the teams in the NFL are on the East coast...and a big part of the other half are East of the Missouri river...and distance isn't as big a factor as flying time.
