The shark doesn't really fit IMO. Otherwise it would be sort of cool.

If I can get a scanner that works soon, or maybe I'll use my camera, I have a TMNT RPG book that has mutant octopi and dolphins and such in it.

Any oceanic team needs to have a shark imo, and a hammerhead one is instandly recognisable.
I'd also like to see a sawfish or swordfish.

Bagsy a dinosaur team first though. ;)

if the oceanic team has hunters, then sharks are the obvious choice. likewise having a whale as the big guy.

as for striker i think a dolphin or a seal (both good ball handlers lol), the seal would make a nice change from the fish..and yes i know dolphins and wales are mammals, but they look fishy. also the seal could be the little guy of the team.

The Cuttlefish could also be a little guy...

Hey, there we go. A Seal Cheater and Cuttlefish Little Guy

Well I guess the reason it stood out for me was because I didn't notice the cuttlefish. It seemed like all mammals, but I guess it does fit.

would a little guy make a realistic safety? to be honest the only thing i know about cuttlefish is that caged birds really like them lol

swordfish would be interesting, maybe as an alternative hunter? and how about a giant crab as a defender?

personally i'd want a team balanced between mammal and non mammal just for asthetics.

As long as there is at least one Octopus or Cuttlefish.

A crab defender would rock.

i'm sold on the octopus, though i'm thinking more of a safety than thrower. just think of a man sized octopus getting in the way of the opponents striker. actually the more i think about it, would an oceanic team have a thrower?

hey, if you guys can come up with about $8,000, Impact! will happily fulfil all your fishy fetishes..

Darkson.. Sarcos are about as close to Dinosaurs as we are likely to go..

true, and I never close my mind to anything (well, except.. you know..   ) but my own personal thinking (which I would have to discuss at length with Tom) is that at some point we will probably have fulfilled the needs of the fantasy pigskin market and need to move onto other games and other minis..

I would rather diversify than get deeper into a niche..

I'm only 1/3 of the decision making process though..

Actually I agree with that, diversify or die as they say. But at the same time to stop all developement in favour of a new direction isn't good. Granny Wendy suffered when FF was moved to specialist game status. By all means reduce ff developement to work on new things, but don't kill it till there is a die-hard player uprising lol

And speaking of "other directions", when are we getting some hints about them? I for one can barely wait
