I Think you may need a small but fast reptiliaan figure to go with these guys and the terrorpin

I honestly would like 2 to 3 small fast reptiliaan figures in our store. If possible I'd like to be able to marry it up with either 6 Reptiliads or 6 Sobtek Defenders (Victoria Lamb's 2 new Crocs) and a Terrorpin.

Illustranger is also looking for work ... so if I was to pursue this ... what should they be based on. Can they be generic and work with Victoria's Crocs ... or would they need the Egyptian treatment to work? If they had Egyptian treatment ... would they work with the Reptiliads?

I'm open to suggestions .... I'd like to be able to add these to our range but I would really want them to kill two birds with one stone. Any have thoughts on what such a stone would look like (conceptually) speaking (not asking for drawings).

I think more people would be using them with the Sobtek minis then the reptiliads, so it may be best if they had an Egyptian feel to them.

The upright ones are easily as big as the Crocs in height.

maybe you want to kill a whole flock of birds. Obviously the giant Turtle thing is slightly left field for a krox, your got the egyptian crocs for the saurii, maybe you wanna make some frogmen to use as the skinks, then you cover slann as well? That said there are some great lizards to use as skinks if you want to keep the reptile feel to it all. I would recommend a frill necked lizard, I think that would look great.

and a thorny devil

and even a bearded dragon

How Egyptian are the crocs, really? There's a random-looking symbol on a loin cloth, and there's some loose bandages. If the little frilled guys had tattered loin cloths they'd fit in as some kind of slave of any ethnicity. I think the problem making the reptiliads and future lizards fit together will be more sculptor style than player dress.

The frilled lizards would be cool. And I think they could work as frogman substitutes as well.

I already promised Grandma Wendy for a very important reason that we would not make an FF based frog players outside of maybe one tournament limited edition miniature.

So no frogs.

I like the Crocs because they look good, they're not especially Egyptian. The Crocs didn't jump out on view as being the same race as the Anubis and I have been thinking about where I pitch them for my league - I wasn't particularly considering them to be the same race as the Anubis. The Jackal is iconic Egyptian, the Croc much less so.

If there were other Croccy types that looked similar but differently sized then that'd be great. Another random lizard with little relation to the Crocs wouldn't have the same appeal.

So ... keep it in Africa for theme? Then you get something like this:

Also if we ever made another Croc type figure ... I think it would be fun to do a Gharial.

For those of you who do not know my wife is majorly into animal conservation and education. She volunteers with both the local zoo and humane society. Almost every anniversary we have gone some place to visit a different zoo ... also we regularly visit Alligator Adventure in South Carolina.

Anyway ... just throwing out some thoughts on this ... althought I do like the idea of making the Frilled Lizard tiny guy. Might make him to go with the Reptiliads ... and then consider doing a Dwarf Croc player at some point as well.

Soooooo many projects ... so little money ...

That's what I'd go with, that or Gecko's.
