I have read the rules, I haven't memorized them or double checked them yet, but I was curious as to how you treat a player who is standing on a hex with an out of bounds white line running through it. Is that a legal position, or is he ejected for being in the same hex as a out of bounds line?

This is just a question after trying to understand the board and rules from just text and pictures, no actual playtesting on my part yet...

Standing in a hex with the outer white line running through any part of it is out of bounds and the player would be ejected for the Test (or if holding the ball ... for the game).

I'm still patiently waiting for my copy of Elfball...but now there's a postal strike in the UK

Anyhow, have read the rules a few times now and also have a question about the white lines.

I notice that the centre spot has no white line going through it. Is it possible to thread a pass from one half to the other if it goes through this hex?

Or has it been omitted for clarity?

The centre spot is intentional.

If the path of the throw misses the white line you may throw through it. (Yes you can thread a pass through here.)

Dear God no! It can take half an hour to get the damn ball away from there if you have a bad start, don't go putting it back again

What happens if you tackle the ball carrier and he is standing on a white line?
