G'day,

I have just purchased the Siringit team (and the weather goblins) and am finishing off my Pharohs team... but just had a quick question.

I have my own custom gaming pitch that I made for 'another' game that had the number 7 in it, but have been rather taken with Elfball and wanted to try it on my pitch.

I was going to use the Street Brawl movement rules and then instead of a face off, have a kick off.

Because it's a smaller size pitch (than regular Elfball) should I use less players, or keep it as 6 on the pitch?

We were going to use the move two at a time (move one, then if no Flop move another), but mark them both as unusable for the next round.

Just wanted some opinions on this. Has anyone tried this before?

Cheers,
Ben.[/b]

Well we did it one time with an astro granite pitch from  that other game rather than a hex board and it worked well.

What we did was use Street Brawl/Elfball rules with the following changes:

11 Players on pitch/16 man teams (if we used a Seven's mat I would say 6-7 on pitch/12 man rosters, just like SB)
250 point team costs.
Same set up rules as fantasy football for the kick off.
Straight roll for kick off (IE no Kick off table)
Players shoved out of bounds make a grit 6 Injury challenge, if they were holding the ball they are out for the test (KO box) and the ball is chucked in from the sideline (as if Bl00d B0wl)
Players on the bench can enter via the stairs just like Elfball (3 squares)
Diagonal movement costs 1.5 Jog. (This is tricky if you haven't seen it before).
Code:

_________________________
| 8 |   |   |   |   |   |
_________________________
|   | 6 |   |   |   |   |

|   |   | 5 |   |   |   |

|   |   |   | 3 |   |   |

|   |   |   |   | 2 |   |

Basically every other square in diagonal movement costs +1 Jog. I.E. You move diagonal 1 square (cost 2 Jog) move forward 3 squares (cost 3 Jog) and move diagonally again that last diagonal costs 2 Jog again (not 1).

I think that's all. Pretty much we used Street Brawl as a template and then anything it didn't cover we amalgamated Elfball and Bl00d B0wl.
It worked fairly well for a one off thing.
I'm thinking about getting some felt from Impact for our league but I'm gonna see how they feel about it first.

Thanks for the quick reply Darklord!

I'll give those a try.

Ben.
