Definitely loving the new deadlings, but am happy with what comes in the box

But those new BR-dwarves + hobimps have just moved up on my wish list. If the dwarf centaurs are quality, that team is going home with him.

Great Tom... now I'm waiting on the Sarcos and the Black Rocks... like my wallet isn't already light enough

Illustranger is working on sketches for us for them ... so I'm hoping they hit your (and many others) concept of quality.

What on earth is the touchdown marker? Not being nasty, but I honestly can't tell what it is from that pic - tbh, it looks like something my kids made out of plasticine when they were small.

(Oh, and according to the web page, I have to say that's not Fen's best paint job. )

is a better picture of the dwarf. He's a leaping dwarf (thunder hammer?) with one arm up as he dives across. Pretty dynamic figure. But I couldn't tell what it was either until I looked at the bigger picture. Paint will definitely help him out

re - Dwarf turn marker
I had to flit backwards and forwards across the big front/rear views to figure out what was going on with his helmet too. Looks good once you've figured it out, but it needs a painted version on there pretty badly. To me part of the helmet looked like a sign post breaking from behind (that had me confused ) and, like Darkson said, on the small version it just looks like a mess. Which it isn't.

PLUS

More deadlings

Agreed ... but I couldn't wait for the paint job if I wanted folks to have a chance to include him in their carts for the Holiday sale.

Out of interest, what will be the four legged beast the bottom half is based on? Horse? Bull? Boar?

Please say boar! Please say Boar!

I hadn't planned on using this animal to be honest ... sorry.

oh well. So no hints as to the one you are planning on? Or is it going to be a watch this space thingy. ( this is me watching this space.)
Darkson

Is it meant to be a statue, or a player?
I ask because if it's a player, there should have been more detail on it's "underside" (i.e. the bits you wouldn't normally see) such as the shoe soles and the bottom of the clothes.

And sorry, but I'm really going to have to see a painted version on this one, as even with the link that GG posted (doh! ) I see can't make out a lot of the fig. I can see what it is, but not how a lot of it is posed (left arm, helmet from the front).
GalakStarscraper

Its meant to be a marker to use to track touchdowns. So its not quite in scale with a normal 28mm figure as a result.

It is definitely a figure that will most likely need to wait until it sees paint to sell.

The pewter copies just hides the details even more.

Also keep in mind please that it is in Targeted because we are giving an amateur a chance to get a miniature into the open market. That is still a core concept behind how Impact! works is to sponser new talent and help them grow.

I couldn't make it out at all untill I went to the store and clicked on the item to see the "big picture". You then get several views that makes it easy to see what it is.

That's the view I was talking about.

Time to visit specsavers, old man

I've got him here now. I must admit it's the most energetic Dwarf pose I've ever seen. I had no idea they could leap like that!

I'm more tempted to paint it up as a player rather than some kind of statue. It's actually quite a good sculpt in the Grandma Wendy style.

Oh and Tom, you sent me standard sized bases for the Deadling Ghouls. I mounted up my deadling team so I don't have any spare left.

I thought he looked pretty energetic when I saw him. Are these two dwarfs what the thunder hammer are going to look like? I don't see any helmets

Slap a little show tread on him with the green-stuff and he's good to go :) How's he compare in size to a standard EB player?

Sorry ... I'll get you some 20mm bases sent out tomorrow.

As for the miniature. I guess I mis-spoke. I would like him painted up as a player ... but I don't see this figure as the type that would normally be on a field. I see him as a score marker.

No. These are Dwarf sculpts done by amateur sculptures for our Targeted program. With Targeted we don't request miniatures. Amateurs sculpt them and send us pictures after they are finished and Ramsay either approves them, requests minor changes and approves them, or gives them some pointers on areas the sculptor needs to work on to get a sculpt approved.

So these are just pieces these two sculptors made and Ramsay approved.

The Thunder Hammer Dwarves will come in two flavours. The Street style that I hope to have in the store by the end of February at the latest. And the Highlander/Braveheart style that will be many moons from now before they are produced.

Right now Impact!'s team focus is getting the Gnome and Black Rock teams complete and starting work on the Siringit team.

Good news. Some Siringit players really suit to me. I saw some drawings on the Elfball Vassal topic. And I think I saw some more on another forum but I can't remember where (but maybe that was just in a dream, I sometimes dream about miniatures lol ).

I think I will also buy some Samhaino players if the minis are nice. Will you start selling some Samhaino players (you spoke about midfielder ones, no?) in the first half of 2008 or will you first deal with all Siringit minis ?

Missing the cloven hooves of the boar and the rough fur. But pony is good!

2 Midfielders will go to the caster at the same time as the Dwarf sculpts.
