2 random questionshavent double checked the rules but here are two thoughts:
1. The impcrusher has none as its type... Can it be set up in the center faceoff circle at the start of a test?
2. With a bribed ref could you intentionally have one of your players fail a dash in the goal circle to make it impossible to score unless you flop the ref roll? I know it will eventally happen, but it would be a great way to buy time.

Page 16 lists it as a Monster type. Impcrusher = Gnomish Contraption.

I guess you could do that, and I don't see anything wrong with it. It wouldn't last long, and beware of Cheaters. Also, that's gonna put you a man down, probably when you need it most.
If I was down to 2 players I would do it.

Impcrusher pg 18 type=none and what if it is replacing a dwarf on a dwarf team is it not a monster then? Just playing a little out of the "cheater type" hand book.

Very risky ... especially since you have a 50% of success at the Dash even with 1 dice. You cannot delibrately fail the Dash roll.

If you have two momentum, use one to replace a success 75% chance of success err... I mean failure. Each turn though there is a the flop the ref roll to worry about.
Maybe the deadlings could use zombies for this. High grit, likely to stay on the field even if they have to take a cheapshot.
I am just crafting special plays that will ultimately end in spectacular failure. hmmm... lets see how else I can abuse the rules...

But at the end of the day ... this plan isn't all that much different than Lines tactic of putting a Deadwood into the goal circle to delay the score. And he's already reported that that has mixed luck as a successful tactic.
So I don't see this much different than that.
If it proves to be too good of a tactic ... the Referee could easily be bumped to be worth more points. But so far feedback has not been the the Biased Referee unbalances the game.
