A HUGE thank you to IMPACT! miniaturesWe've just wrapped up the 2nd annual 4 Diamonds Cup tournament, and I want to thank the fine folks at IMPACT! for the the generous support for the 2nd year in a row!
We had a great turnout and managed to raise over $1,000 for the 4 Diamonds Fund, a pediatric cancer charity.
The inimitable Norse made the trek down from the wilds of Connecticut and went home with the hotly contested Best Sportsman award!
Pictures will be up on the website shortly:

I can't thank everyone who came enough for their amazing support, and be on the lookout for an even bigger and better tournament next year!

very welcome Jamie - thanks for hosting a great tourney and making such positive use of a Saturday afternoon for a bunch of geeks, nerds and boffins...
I thoroughly appreciated my award, largely influenced I suspect by my 7 hours behind the wheel..
hope to see you again between now and next year's event.. drop us a line if you want to look into the customised pitches we discussed..
and PM me if you want to take me up on my donation for a dugout offer..

The gaming pitches look great. I can see some are wide format printouts that have been laminated but what is the green one underneath? I've tried looking up "train mats" and various other searches but with no luck, can anyone help?

The green board is indeed a grass mat bought from a model railroad shop, I made a paper template that matches our boards (slightly larger than standard boards) which I used to mask off the mat for spray painting.
It will eventually be part of another of our tournament boards... once I finish my Zlurpee bowl team that is!
