Pretty much all of teh above...apart from Handball. Strange, strange game.
There's a Hockey version of that other FF game around somewhere that Neoliminal did, and Lacrosse shouldn't be too much different from what I've seen. Dodgeball would be SILLY but fun. Love that film. |

dodgeball already exists. Dark Lord did rules. It's around here someplace. I haven't tried it yet though. Looks neat though. | ||||

I voted roller hockey then realized that I was thinking roller derby. 
Ice hockey would then become my number one choice after roller derby. |

Yeah, there needs to be a really cool and violent Roller Derby game. All grrl minis & sport that is growing in popularity is a recipe for success...or at least breaking even. 
The idea of a female Deadwood whipping a deadling jammer between the legs of a female ogre is cool!

guys, Impact! has very high aspirations of doing a variety of additional fantasy sports in the forseeable future.. sadly, we do not have a bottomless pot of money.. some of the above sports are definitely in the pipeline, plus we have a couple of other sports in mind which are not listed above.. I don't think they're hosted anywhere but if anyone wants a copy, send me your email address in PM and I'll send you the PDF file. Oh and Roller Derby is an underground sport with women on roller skates. There's two packs of girls and they score points by having one girl (the Jammer) pass players on the opposite team. They There are a couple different variations. The most common is flat track, but there is also banked track races. It used to be sort of like wrestling in that it was over the top and mostly staged. Nowadays, it's for real and the girls get knocked around, just not as wildly as they did in fake era. I have been to a couple and it's pretty fun! Wikipedia knows all about it too. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roller_derby Shadowforge started work on one but afaik it's in development hell. 
(one thing that I noticed about this board that bugs me is that the inside of the track has the number of squares as the outside, just smaller. So unless there is movement rules to compensate, running on the inside wouldn't get you an advantage...it would possibly be slower than the outside.) I think female fantasy races dressed out in spiky punk fashions and beating each other silly would be awesome! |

Back in the fake era it, Roller Derby, was played by both men and women (not against each other). People just liked the female version because...it was women.
Sadly, I don't think the Shadowforge version will ever see the light of day. They keep saying they're working on it, but it's been several years since we've seen the pics DL posted with no new news.

I have to be honest. The Razorball game is one that if we were debtless and had profit to play with ... I'd talk to SF and see what it would take to roll the game out.
My guess based on Elfball .... the board and the packaging cost stopped the project. There is a reason that Elfball is a pizza box game. The packaging to do a finished Toys 'R Us style box was $50000 USD when we got bids. That alone could have scared them off. We will I think before the end of the year be adding another fantasy sports game to our store along with miniatures to support it. Two teams of 5 players (unique poses for each player). If sales justify it ... we'll expand to include other teams. Ramsay and I started discussing with the sculptor seriously yesterday about starting the sculpting for the 10 figures. I also just sent off my review comments on the rules for the game this morning and some suggestions I had for modification. So we do have another sports game coming hopefully by year end ... and then we go from there. When (not if .. when) Impact! has the partner and credit card debt paid off ... we definitely will have more options to play with for expanding the store. Galak |

I get the cannon fire, and the island, but what do chariots have to do with pirates, and where did they get horses from?
It would be better with shipwrecked pirate captains in rickshaws, pulled by crew members. Dodging mortar fire on a deserted island. |

Well yeah, I agree but I was trying to add a bit of common sense to it. Pirates in chariots on an island dodging cannon fire? WTF? Why not make it roller skating monkeys on a roof top dodging fireballs?

its Robert Smith of The Cure! Sweet! played a great game call 6-tage rennen (6 day race) based on cycling, had some simply brilliant but simple mechanics. worth looking up, as it was released in 1986 and is probably OOP. |

OK, during the week Impact! agreed to purchase the rights to an other Fantasy Sports game which we had already collaborated on and we have a sculptor working on two teams which might be in the store before the end of the year.. the game itself may be available at GenCon...
and it's not one of the sports listed above..
