Baseweights for other (square) basesOne of my gaming buddies saw how nicely the baseweights work in conjunction with magnets and metal plates, and he asked if I would ask you guys if you've thought about making baseweights for square bases. He was also wondering about perhaps getting metal plates in say, 100mm x 100 mm, 100mm x 80mm, and 100mm x 40mm? Which would work well with a certain other unnamed game? I know Impact is focused on FF, but a slight broadening might not be a bad idea...

40mm base weights for the big guys to hold 2 magnets would be cool.

Something to think about.
Honestly ... I'd rather wait on the 40mm size. Just because I really am set on producing our own 30mm size bases before the end of 2007.

I've seen plenty of Ogre teams made from the WFB plastics,
a) because it's a damn sight cheaper than buying the FF Ogres, and
b) they come with Gnoblars, which could be used as Goblins/can be used as Snotlings( ).
That said, I doubt there's much call for the 40mm bases weights. Tbh, with that much room on the base, the ball falling off shoudn't be an issue, and I've seen the plastic Ogres fall over a lot less than other 28mm sized plastic figs (a lower centre of gravity - remind me of Norse ).
I do wonder if there's a market for the square bases mentioned above though. With WFB moving more and more towards majority plastic figures, it might be worth polling some opinions on the WFB boards.
As a side note, 40k uses round bases, and a lot of those figs are plastics, so hitting some 40k forums might be in order.

I just want them for storage purposes of having a magnet or 2 to hold them steady and because I'd like to put a felt base over them as well.
I suppose I can just fill the base with green stuff and cut a bit of felt to size, but hey! I'm lazy!
