Be seeing you!So I get back from the hospital and I hear that both Ricardo Montalban and Patrick McGoohan are dead! And only then do I realize that Ricardo Montalban would have made an excellent Danger Man villain! A Cuban or something...anyway...
I'm so bummed out. I first heard of the Prisoner through Iron Maiden, and from there it intrigued me and I went out tracking down the series. From there I discovered Danger Man, and became a real fan.
Be seeing you!

I hope you are recovering well sir and feeling comfortable!
I think Ricardo was a Mexican born, Castilian Spaniard, I had not been aware that he was even still alive. I always thought he was great as Khan Noonien Singh and thats the role I most equate him with, well that and Fantasy Island of course.
As for Patrick McGoohan, I must confess that for me he was always a background or supporting actor, I never got to know much about him at all and outside of Edward Longshanks in Braveheart I can't think of another specific role that he played at the moment. . . My life is probably lacking for never having seen an episode of The Prisoner.
Still though they will be missed. . .

I only said Cuban because Danger Man was a cold war era spy thriller. Think James Bond with more realistic gadget and more realistic bad guys.

A Mexican born Castilian!
On the Tonight, way back when Johnny Carson was still the host, he had Ricardo on as a guest. He refered to himself as Castilian, that had always stuck in the back on my mind. It was later that I learned he was born in Mexico to Castilian parents.
