Black Rock Centaurs getting sculpted

Okay been a while since we had a sneak peak at stuff at the early stages of development.

These sketches just went off to the sculptor to begin work on them.  (sketches by Illustranger)

Are they just incredibly armored or are they half iron golem or something?

Nice drawings. I don't know if I will really be interested with them as I have already too many bull centaurs to play with (two Goblinforge ones and two FF Grandma Wendy champions) but they fit well with the black rock dwarves.

This one.  We liked the idea that the bull part would be techno based.  Seemed a good match for warped evil Dwarven magic.

Those are damn impressive... am I correct in assuming they will be sold as a body with multiple upper torsos?

Well, since I can't stand the original Dwarf Centaur (or even regular dwarf) models, I know what I'll be picking up. These look great and are a good match for the existing Elfball teams.

Like the contraptions ... each of the 6 possible mixes of torso with body will be sold seperately.  

The Black Rock Dwarf Elfball team will have one of each Hobimp, one of each BR Dwarf (FatGoblin is working on the final 2), and one of each Centaur Torso and one of each Centaur Body.  (so you'll end up with a spare torso (but I won't charge you for it in the team deal).

Yeah I agree. They remind me of a monster from Deadlands...but its name escapes me. (Actually it may not have been unique to Deadlands.)

Los Diablos?  I Googled a Deadlands reference which described Los Diablos as "a cross between a demonic bull and a Sherman Tank."

These should make for very cool figures, indeed.

All right...I'm buck naked and sweaty from my work out but I'll dig into my library and check that out. Might even scan the pic (cuz it's cool...like every picture in that book!)...hang on...

Yeah that's him! Los Diablos! Too lazy to scan the pic...I need a shower.

Ok. That's it. Those are EXCELLENT!  I've always been one of those rare few that liked BOTH versions of Grandma Wendy's evil dwarves. But I will CERTAINLY be getting a team of these when all is said and done! Right after I unload my "other" figs on ebay.

who's sculpting them? FG? are there 2 more Dwarves in the pipeline at all. Im not a massive fan of the hobs and would probably use alternate mini's, but I love the dwarves and what I see of the centaurs

I cant seem to find the pic, but was there ever a pic that showed the BR dwarves in relation to other dwarf minis?

FG is working on 2 more Dwarves and PF is working on the Centaurs.  (PF did the Thunder Hammer team).

Would they be ready for the Eucalyptus Bowl order, and do you have any idea of the team price yet?

Oh, and purely out of interest, which Minotaur would you suggest to match with these guys?  Or is that something in the pipeline too?

I'm pretty sure on of the 5 heads for the PF Mino would work for you.

The PF Mino is perfect for the BR Dwarves..  it's a beautiful sculpt..

Don't know.  We did not give PF a deadling to sculpt the sketches.  We wanted him to take his time and get them as close to the sketches as possible.

So for us it was more a matter of when he gets them finished.  He working on these and another figure for us at this time.

You should have given him a Deadling. Everybody works better when you give them at least one Deadling. Or is Rams playing the tight-fisted Scot again?

At this point I'd rather get unfinished Elfball teams finished than add to existing teams.

I collected all of GWs FF teams but am hoping to get a complete set of ElfBall teams too... Hmmm maybe get 2 of each incase a mate comes round and we both want to play Gnolls  

PS, how are the Samhaino sculpts coming on? Crack the whip with the painter, me wants to see the painted Samhaino minis

Painter is done but I thought I could take better pics of them myself when I get them.

In process ... sorry ... I told the sculptor to take his time to really nail the sculpts.  I'm trying not to rush him ... but I can check in with him.

No ... at this time we now have 12 unique sculpts for the Black Rock Dwarves which means we have a full Elfball team.

Hehe Norse thats because you have to stand on the chair to see them on the table  

Though Ill have that elfball module fixed on monday, which is when my broadband is also getting fixed, so have a mountain of stuff to do sine net went down... you miss it when its gone!

I will definitely be buying one whenever they come out along with the rest of the Black Rock Dwarves which I think are awesome minis. Just waiting for the full range to be produced.
