Crazy eBay or Impact needs marketing?

Either these eBay buyers went insane in a bidding war or they didn't know about Impact.

I'm not sure which is worse....

Ebay is always interesting to me.

Having an Ebay store is just too expensive for us (we used to have one).

More power to anyone who can sell items we still have in stock on Ebay for more than we do.

Hopefully Ebay will smile on us as well.  We listed a few of the limited edition models that we have a few left of.   When we mark an item sold out .. its so we don't sell more than we have in stock.  Generally there a couple left in the bin when we do this.  So here's to some Sarcos fundraising.

Sweet, I'll be bidding on a couple of those

I saw the BB7s rat. I thought some of those were going to sold in the Limited Impact section?

No ... that was never the plan.

We were only given a few of these figure to sell by the B7s event.

I figured my memory was faulty.

Same guy, same Impact mini's, same price and more than retail.   Might want to check your sales list to make sure somebody from FT. Wayne, IN bought a bunch of these models.  Something says possible recasts?  I have no basis for that but when I saw the auction again "my Spidey sense was tingling".

Sincerest apologies to the seller if I'm wrong.  I'm just trying to look after Impact.

I really appreciate the heads up.   This type of thing is important to double check as recasting is just not something we need to add to our issues in a year we are working on debt recovery.

However on Jan 30th we had an order for 6 Beer Babes, 10 Referee Reds, and 2 Tulip Weather Goblin sets for the city in question.   So the auctions are legitimate.

More power to him.   I say this because when we sell to vendors we tell them that they can charge whatever they want for the figure (just not less than us) ... so this guy if you pictured him as a vendor is just making out well on the uninformed.   However ... given that we've sold almost 1000 Beer Beauties ... I thinking thinking that anyone buying one for $7.00 USD will quickly run into someone who mentions to him where the figure comes from and then he'll feel pretty dumb.

I have  admit to doig something similar, but not with minis!

This was before I had the Wii and I really wanted to play Zelda: Twilight Princess, but as it was the last game on the Gamecube it was rather expensive, and out of stock on all major sites. It was selling for £50 used on ebay!

So imagine my joy when I found a shop that was selling them for £30 on the net (cant remember now, it as fairly obscure) so I decided Id shell out £90 and get 3, and sell 2 off on ebay.

I ended up with a "free" game that I wanted and £10 in my pocket after selling the 2 games off for £50 each.

So sometimes if you see a chance, its worth going after!

This thread actually got me thinking this morning at work (a change I know!) but a local used game/dvd shop buys in games at a set price, which I can source cheaper on ebay/car boot sales etc, so I was thinking of doing that for a "little" extra income

Sorry for going off topic!

So... how'bout that frogman?

Methinks an all-frog team might be a good idea. :)

I know, I know.   I suppose you can't see the malicious gleam in my eye over the internet.

Well by all means keep badgering. I'll help.

I respect Tom's promise to JJ, I just wish they had the same amount of respect for him. They ain't never gonna make a Slann Bl00d B0wl no matter what the LRB does. Hoping and praying otherwise is just running at Lucy's football. Hell they don't even have Slann Warhammer minis anymore!

Besides, Impact's Slann team would look better anyway.

I think Darkson and I are the only ones wanting a Fimir team.

I miss Zoats...
GalakStarscraper

By Spring we should be carrying Rolljordan's miniatures in our store as a vendor for them.

One of the items they make is a Toad based Fantasy Football team (along with an Ice Troll and a female football player).

I am a man of my word.   Impact! has not created their own frog based team.

If I run the ARBBL Open next year, I think a Fimir player might be on the agenda (assuming Impact can do it without getting into any legal issues...).
Thadrin

I know a guy who would shoot his wad if offered a Fimir FF team...

If we are not calling it Fimir ... I don't think there is a IP on 1 eyed aliens.
