What about some new High Elves in different positions? One thrower handling the ball and pointing to the front, leading his team.

I was just thinking about what would make a nice picture; I am more an ideas man rather than one that actually does stuff like...you know, work...

How about though how you see an EBall pitch from a high angle. A local village pitch or a larger stadia. As you can see, I am obviously more into the structural elements of fantasy football...

Oh yeah! I intended to not make it so close but then I thought, 'why not?' It's not like it's copyright infringement...all mummies look like Eddie!   I just had to dance on the line and I think I did.

I can't wait to put Eddie on my Elfball pitch.  

He's a mix of Eddie, Juggernaut and Major Q10 from Heroscape.

Don't worry, I don't mind criticism. I have been through rougher critiques than you can even imagine. You can't hurt my feelings.  

You are correct in saying that Set the God usually has a mystery animal for a head but this isn't Setekh the god. It's Setekh the Bl00d B0wl star player who is presumably a mummy or a Blitz-Ra.  So sorry if it bugs you but maybe knowing that it isn't one of the Pharaohs of Vihktora and it isn't a god helps?

Oh and as far as similarity to Ramtut...I think that's just wrong. They both wear a nemes but that's where it ends IMO. Ramtut has a face mask, my drawing does not. Ramtut has a giant bird or something on the crown part of it. I really don't see any similarity to Ramtut. I say there are similarities Eddie from Powerslave because there are...Ramtut? Nah, sorry don't see it.

Setekh was designed as a cross between a 4th edition Tomb Guard (NOT to be confused with an LRB 6.0 Tomb Guardian) and an LRB 5.0 Blitz-Ra.

The second I looked at it I thought "Eddie!". I've got to get me one of those now, and when I eventually do a Khe... Egyptian themed undead team or Pharoahs team they will now obviously be called "The Powerslaves".

I must admit, I saw him and immediately thought Ramtut. That may be wrong, but that was my reaction. A damn cool looking one though.
So I looked up what he actually looks like and there are some differences...

I will be purchasing one to go with my Pharohs team if there are any left.

My first intention was to be only for the Spanish FF Forum, but if there are some left, I'll try to give priority to the Impact! Forum members, but nowadays I cannot assure anything

Just finished this sketch for a tourney fig for lahatiel.

My leaguemate and I are going to be working with Darkson Designs to get that produced.  Certainly nothing in the slightest against Impact! in any way -- for a variety of reasons, we just ended up pushing things way too close to the last minute (the tournament in question is mid-January! ) and having already been aware of the lead time Impact! needs for their tournament program, we weren't even close to giving them the time needed.  Robert at DD, though, is local to us, is a prospective member of our league and should (I hope) be taking part in the tourney himself, so he's supposed to try to help us out.

It still wouldn't even be a possibility, though, without DL's awesome work.  When I hired him, I loaded him up with as much specific detail as I could about what I wanted to see in a Mickey Mouse-caricature ratman crossed with an Al Capone-style gangster, and he captured it perfectly!

How about an Big-guy for the Arab and Oriental Team? (an Oni or a Gene?) or star players? Huge sumo?

I would really love to see some "standard" human Elfball Players with a more terditional look. mabie a Team Pack of the multipart sprue.

A freestanding chainsaw bit would be helpfull. (As well as a range of secret weapons... like landmines.)

You guys have done some nice elfs in the past, I would love to see you take a shot at them in the future.

I would pay money hand and fist for a Grandma Wendy Figure.

Frogmen are a good idea. (Not shure what the market looks like)

I think there is a team deal for that, or at least was. And as soon as I get back on top of my work load there will be painted figs for the humans.

There definitely had been a team deal in the past, as I know I used it when I got the sprues to put together my multi-part figures.  I'm guessing it got lost when the store sections got shuffled around, during the creation of sections like Elfball Teams, Sideline Figures, Big Guys, the whole Other Companies Miniatures section, etc.  I'm hoping the deal could make a comeback, though, as I'm thinking I'm not happy anymore with the conversions and poses I got, and I might (someday) want to get a whole new team's worth of sprues so I could start over and do a better job.

The idea has certainly been a hit, and I know that it's in no small part due to just how well DL brought my vision to life -- he drew what I was seeing in my head.    So far as I'm aware, the green is still currently with the caster, being reproduced... my partner in the tournament organization is actually the point of contact on the production aspect, and I haven't heard any further updates on it yet. (I think it's just me being a control freak, but I really wish I could've handled it all and gone through Impact!... but for that to have happened, I would've had to have done it more than 6 weeks prior to the tournament.  What can I say?  I may be a control freak, but I'm a lazy, procrastinating control freak!     )

Your team was an excelent example of what could be gained using the multi part kits. (Buying some next pay day now). I would love for that team to have a few star players made for it.

Your multi part figures come extremely close. I am convinced a team of single cast miniatures made by impact would look excelent. (The new Wendy ones dont look... heroic. The "closest" I have ever seen is your middle kingdoms range.) I am excited by the idea of alternate heads.


How about a team of mutants?

Hate to bring up other properties but how about a set of miniatures that draw inspiration from mutant league football. (A team made of Skeletons, Robots, Trolls and SuperMutants)

It could be an exsuse to cast some figures that have a little technology on them.

How About.. Skeleton Linemen that actualy look cool, Grandma Wendies have not aged well. They look nothing like their early edition counterparts and could stand a revamp/competive model that looks the part.

A weapon pack may be a must. Landmines, Chainsaws, Barrel of TNT, Shivs, blunderbuss, Pogo sticks, exc....

Another thought, you have a tendency to pick up extinct ranges with impact and turn them into sellers. Have you tried seeing if black tree would be willing to part with their old undead slaughterball sculpts?

I prefer to think that Impact protects endangered species...

I never said they where great... but they are fantasy football figures. I figured that black tree would be happy to get rid of the moulds. Some of them are salvagable, others are no where near the quality that I would expect of impact.

I actually am gonna start doing this again. Since I have downtime...apparently and all I have left to do is work on portfolio work I might as well do what you guys have suggested.

I sketched a beholder ref quite some time ago but here's a more finished piece.



Next up is Grandma Wendy, suggested by Igor Tahavanale. Impact probably already has a sketch of her, but I'll do one anyway.

I think a whistle rather than a cigar or eyestalk would be better - otherwise doesn't really say "ref" to me. With a cigar, I see it more as a "coach" figure.
