Dragon world (working title)Another idea I had for a postapocalyptic fantasy setting (a story that never became one...) could be incorporated into this as well. In that world the dragons ruled the world and fed humans up in "cattlepens" as food. They also had various genetically changed humans that they used for sports and fun (winged humans for pleasure hunting, Orclike humans for pitfights and guardians of the cattle pens and so forth). Since dragons had a humanoid shape as well as a dragon shape they also used genetically altered humans as "sextoys" so to speak and one dragon fell in love with one of those humans genetically altering her to become a dragon. Since she carried a child this - however - did alter the nature of reality and caused humans and dragons to be able to interbreed. The new dragon-human hybrids became the mages of humanity The female was cast out in the desert and gave birth to a messiahs like saviour and that was the start of the falldown of the rule of the dragons.
