Egyptian Thoth/Ibis Midfield updated to include Bast Striker

Superb mini, Victoria excelled herself. It's a wonderful portrayal of Thoth, while also having that lean skeletal look to it. I will certainly have a complete team of these bad boys when I can, at the very least I'm going to repaint my Anubi to match the colour scheme so I can play Elfball with them.

I'm also working on the Bast right now, hopefully I'll have it finished on the weekend.

Looks very good. I like the skin tone.
sebco

I like the skin tone too. It looks like bone flesh and, so, that painted mini seems thiner than the green. That makes me think I could have one skeleton with a bad bird face !
Urb

A bit of confusion. Did you paint this one fen? I really like it.
fen

Yeah, Tom asked me to paint the Thoth and Bast. Which I can't thank him enough for as I'm a big fan of things ancient Egyptian and think Victoria's sculpts are fantastic.

Victoria needed to finish 4 more figures for this team by June 30th for us to have time to cast them by GenCon (she currently only has 2 left now to finish). Since this was going to be a tight deadline for her. I asked her if it was okay if a different painter painted these figures than her so that she could focus on sculpting instead of painting her line in our store and she agreed.

Awesome. I can notice an improvement in your skills fen. I really do like what you have done with this one. The blues and yellows just compliment the skin. The stripe is perfect. Really gives it that something extra.

Solid work!
Sallacious

really nice work there fen
Urb's right... your painting is getting better all the time... this piece is very well done.

Ok yeah, no problem. Umm, what part of the Bast figure is considered it's front and back?
fatgoblin

nicely done! I like the skin colour a lot!

First two pictures of the Bast Striker

Tom, just let me know what other angles you need of the Bast, it's tricky to work out where to photograph her because of the pose.
darktremere

Wow, the Bast Striker is incredible, both the paint job and the miniature. Each of these egyptian miniatures deserve an entire team made for them. An entire team of Basti, using elf team rules. That's a nice thought
Norse

now that is how an Egyptian fig should look - very sweet fen!
mattwakeman

Any chance of a picture of the Bast from behind at all?

I'll try ... I'm way behind on trying to get good pictures of some of our minis painted.

No worries on that front Tom. I was more interested then anything else as they are just such a great looking team.
