EIEBL MinisThe Eastern Iowa Elfball League gallery will basically be 2 painters me and my brother in law.
Right now I only have two minis painted...sad I know but what are you gonna do?
The really bad part is that I am painting the minis for two coaches for free so they aren't my best work either.
Anyway, here's the first one that I snapped before my wife ran off with the camera. When I get it back I'll take some with better lighting.
The coach wants them black on gray with African skin tones. I like painting dark skin because it's different but I don't like the black on gray...but what do I care? My Deadlings will look that much better.

Did these instead of watching the pre-game show. They are dry brushed quickies but I think they turned out nice. I know the Score marker isn't original but what else is there? That's a classic!

The top 1/4 inch or so is some old bit from Grandma Wendy that I had in my box (Chaos Dwarf kettle of some kind?), but the bottom is Pro Create and Grandma Wendy skulls. Oh and the handles are just rings from the jewelry section of Hobby Lobby.

That kettle seems to be the siege weapons boiling oil from Grandma.
Or it could be an old version of the Cauldron of blood from the dark elves range.
Do you have more photos of other Black widows?
They have always appeared strange to me in the face, but i like the rest of the look of them, wondering if i had to resculpt all faces if i order them, or if it is just the painting that puts them off bad.
Oh, and nice job for a quickie!

What's wrong with her face? I don't think it's a great paint job but I don't see anything weird about it.
Anyway, I don't have any more Widows done yet. This week tho.
I have to paint:
Black Widows
Black Rock Dwarfs
Divine Wind
And then I can do my Deadlings. Although by that point I may be burnt out and not feel like painting them top notch...their little asses might just look better dry brushed anyhow.
I'm working on a Deadwood right now that is almost done...but then he's just drybrushed too.

I don't see anything wrong with HER face, it is the other black widow models that i have thought had to much of a manga-look or something like that on them. Thats why i want to see them painted. :)
I will try to paint my deadlings and post pics of them here. Got to have them ready for a tournament in march.

Another one. Just the first in another of the free paint jobs I'm doing for a coach. I'm a sweet heart. He wanted Notre Dame colors...I think he should name his team Notre Damned.

Very nice -- of course, I might be biased since old-school Chaos Warrior parts, along with boars for the Centaurs, are what I'm doing with my CDs, too! Although, I think the upper-right quadrant has just a bit too much of the ol' "Eye of Chaos" for my taste!
"Notre Damned" would be a great name for that team! Assuming that the regular CDs also use the old CW plastic upper bits, what's being used for the lower half? I'm using chainmail-skirts from the fantasy Dwarf plastics. And what are being used for the Hobbos? I have plans and all the bits for mine, but until I actually put them together, still have a fear of them looking a bit odd.

Lower half is Procreate. Well the torso is an Orc plastics torso and the abs are Procreate.
The hobimps are just Grandma Wendy hobgoblins. I'll actually replace them later with Impact's minis but when I ordered all of these teams they weren't out yet.

This one is still a WIP.
I have a couple of crows to add to it, add the nail that's holding the rope, smooth the connection of the procreate rope and the plastic one, and then paint all the stuff I added...and then go back and tidy it up because I decided to add all that stuff after I painted the trunk.
