Over at TBB, last year (and previous years?) they did a TBB Legacy Team. If you're not familiar, everyone votes on a team and then colors. Then participants pick a figure and paint it up and send it in (figures are donated, you have to buy your own figure, they aren't provided). The entire team is then raffled to one of the participants. Or possibly we might consider selling the team on ebay and donating the cash to a charity.

Participation is open to anyone who wants to contribute a figure. It is not a painting contest.

I participated last year and had fun. It was actually the very first metal miniature I ever painted.

I just wondered if there was any interest out there to do a Legacy Elfball team. I think it would be fun. I'll volunteer to be the organizer (collect the mini's, mail them off to the winner) to get it off the ground.

I was kind of looking forward to the TBB team this year but it doesn't seem like it is going to happen (last years started in March and ended around mid july. There has been no mention of it at all to this point). And for the most part I like the Impact minatues better than Grandma's.

So is there any interest out there in making up a community Elfball team?

It looks like we have just about enough people. Does anyone have an idea as to which team they'd like to do?

I'd go with (in order of preference):

-Black Rock Dwarves
-Siringit
-Pharoahs
-Deadlings

If we had it done for the end of November, it would make an awesome holiday surprise for someone.

In order of preference, my votes are:

1. Thunder Hammer Dwarves (ideal for a legacy team IMO)
2. Pharaohs of Vihktora
3. Siringit
4. Samhaino
5. Desert Dogs

I agree with DL that Thunder Hammer would work well.
Failing that:

Would be my choices.

I think that we should stick with teams that have a completed range. Otherwise, I would have added Samhaino to the list.

I'm not a fan of the Thunder Hammer Dwarves (maybe because I've not seen many painted examples..)

My personal preference would be for either Deadlings, Siringit or Pharaohs. Gnomes might also be fun to do...

I'm happy to go with whatever is agreed, so I guess that Ted as originator could either decide or set a poll up

Just in case some of you don't know, a deadling team was done for the Zlurpee Bowl legacy team this year. You might want to consider doing something other than deadlings, but that's up to you guys. If the TH dwarves (or even BR dwarves) were being done I might consider doing this.

And I'll have pictures of my new team as soon as I get off my lazy butt and download, sort, and upload the 430 pictures from my camera.

Please remember that I can't take a good picture for the life of me. But some of the other guys on the Zlurpee forums should have decent pictures.

Well cool, I'm glad we've got a bunch of interested guys. This should be fun.

I'm on vacation right now (Myrtle Beach... anyone live there?) so I haven't read the forums like I usually do (daily). Since most people wanted it to be late summer early fall, I didn't think it hurt if I didn't start the poll till I got back home :).

So I'll try to get the pole up shortly (Sunday evening at the latest). We'll let that run for a week or so (two maybe?) And then we'll start a primary color poll and a secondary poll. When everything is chosen, we'll pick a complete date. Sound like a plan?

I'm open for any team, we'll go by most votes. If there is a tie I'll roll a dice or something. Or for a novel tie breaker that could be a bunch of fun, have a game at GenCon (or vassal) with the two tied teams. Winning team is the legacy team. Just thinking out loud... could be fun.

So continue the discussion of favorite teams, I'll start the poll shortly.

Are we waiting for the team to be released, or should we start working out who will be painting what?
