First game played, now I have a question:If my opponent has 5 momentum built up and he flops and the result is a SiM, do I then get those 5 momentum points for the next player I activate?

I thought this even happened at some point in our game... Hope I didn't screw it up at the time!

During my vassal games I have noticed that more often than not momentum is shifted back and forth. Seldom do I need to hit the "Reset Momentum" button. Sometimes it seems like if I'm not flopping challenges, then I'm not doing something right

Ah, but see, I usually flop my first challenge, and thus have no momentum to turn over...

Yeah, I don't think I ever got but 1 or 2 momentum from you the whole time Brian, but it was still a fun game!
I appreciate you flopping with your defender to give me the win.

I have a lot of times where I use my cheerleaders to get 2-3 momentum, then dodge/shove for 2-3 more and then blow the pick-up challenge. Ball goes flopping and now my opponent has 4-6 momentum.
This game is great, but if you are the kind of person who wants to smash you dice when they Shim you.... well, let's say that you had better buy extra dice.

But not one if you get upset over the cruel hand of luck because we delibrately geared the game to make bad stuff definitely happen to keep it fast and suspenseful.
One of my favourite musicals ... Guys and Dolls ... has a great scene in it where a guy must make a single dice roll to win it all (including what he needs to get the girl) and he sings a song called "Luck be a Lady". If you've never heard it ... try to listen to it. I hear it going through my head on many a dice based game that I've played and I've played them a LOT over my life (Risk, Titan, Heroscape, B.B., Elfball) ... all great games in my opinion but all 5 subject to the whims of Lady Luck view on your dice.
