I'd love to havesome talented sculpter come up with a model to represent Grandma Wendy. It'd be great to use in Streetbrawl.
Use your imagination.

Biggest problem would be here on the forum if there was a miniature released called Grandma Wendy...
New people who don't know what we actually mean when stating that "Grandma Wendy miniatures..." would not get it at all.
Although, i did get a pretty cool idea in my head...
must finish sculpting all the conversions for my current team first before i do something. :(

I've never heard of Grandma Wendy miniatures.
I do think an elderly, mizerly, money grubbing Grandma Wendy miniature would be great fun for all my tabletop needs. Especially tabletop fantasy sports that I like to play. Maybe in the theme of Monty Python's skit "Hell's Grannies."

Could be used as a hooligan, a head coach, an apothecary, a 'p##s-take', a well respected referee... anything!
Give her a throwing arm (with bingo wings) and she's up for anything.
Fantastic idea

I like the idea of an aged old crone greedily counting counting bills!

Base figure with an arm sprue.

swinging a large filled purse (maybe bills falling out of it) as a weapon.
I also see her with a big burly type side kick (fig) who is fully suited with shades , suit, briefcase, legal pad. (The legal thug) asst coach
and maybe even some little snot nosed kids (bearded of course) cheerleader minis.

Use the image of the wicked stepmother in Cinderella.

This fig would be awesome, I hope the suggestion is taken. The purse spilling money has to be used.

I think it would be a pretty cool seller. Mabye a special limited fig. I'd shell out for it for certain. We just need someone with talent to step up to the plate.

You guys might have my interest enough here to pursue this after we get back from GenCon.

Could she be standing with one foot on a deflated FF ball, so it looks as though she's just trodden on it without caring, and then stamped all the life out of the thing?
No hidden meanings in there or anything...

Well if that's the route you're going I would say she should have a small lap dog beside her...a dog that's balding and wearing hippie shades...possibly pooping on a spiky football.

Certainly a parody and let those with the answers read into it what they will in terms of John Q. Gamers' view on the state of things.
I would totally use her as a FF team owner/head coach model and as a substitute Mrs. Wiggins in Streetbrawl.

Hi guys!
Are you really interested in this kind of a figure?
I bet I can sculpt one, and she can be finished for early november, with bag spilling money, restired hair, chignons, deflated ball, and all.
So what do you think?
Are you at IMPACT willing to produce it?
Do I start sculpting?
|
Dark Lord
|
Look into the Targeted Impact line.
I'd buy one.
|
GalakStarscraper
|
I cannot promise we'll cast it.
The way Targeted work is that Norse (Ramsay) approves the miniature when you are finished. We don't pay for the figure. You send it to use and we cast it ... you then get 10% of the gross sales of the figure.
Now if this concerns you ... I'd submit some examples of something you've done before and see if Norse is interested.

Tom, you actually have one of my figures right now, so I have read Impact conditions and obviuosly I agree.
But now, I'll appreciate if you give some ideas of what don you want, so I don't sculpt in vain, because I really want to see my work available for all gamers.
Thank you.

Thank you. | HA ... didn't realize that was you ... did you do the Dwarf Touchdown or Dwarf Runner???
If you did the Touchdown ... I had a question what it was made out of because I'm concerned it will melt when cast.
I'll get some notes together on what I would like this figure to be.

Nope.
The scoring Dwarf is Juan Montaņo's
Mine is the runner.
As for the material in Juan's figure, as far as I know is some kind of epoxi putty over a wire frame. But better ask himself.
I'll be waiting for the ideas for the Granma Wendy fig. and I'm sure she'll turn ok.
Best wishes.

Mr. M-hLoved thed deflated football idea. I imagine a more skilled craftsman building a building facing and using this fifgure to replace the Ms. Muggins in StreetBrawl. Wouldn't it be just like Grandma Wendy to sick her dogs on us andcall the cops on that game?
Definite interest in purchasing.

Grandma Wendy figureI was re-reading some of the posts and thought I might add another suggestion...
The Grandma Wendy (Mr. M-H) CANNOT be an ugly beast figure. Afterall, despite her age, nearly all of us have been attracted to her at one point or another.
My thought is that she should be kinda like "Granny" that Norse mentioned, but just beneath her hairline should be the hint of horns, a touch of fangs, and forked tail peeks out from behind her dress.
I would think that Grandma Wendy is really an old succubus- a beast with the power to tempt men (and women) to their doom.
She must appear "safe" at first, but with the hints of evil present if you're looking.
But hey, what do you all think?

good ideas, if a little hard to express with a static mini, imo.
Anyhow I agree that she's not at all ugly, as you said.
I'm already making some sketches, and it turnet harder than at firt glance it appears...

I agree here completely.
And the fig should be visciously swinging a money bag or purse that has coins and bills leaking from it.
Trodding on a deflated football / elfball would be also be a great inclusion.
