Well, there are two ways to go with this:
The first, and least fun is to take strong alcohol like Bacardi 151 and pour it directly into your ear. This will not cure your ear infection, but it will create a new and strong pain to distract you from the ear infection.
The second, and more fun, is to pour that Bacardi 151 into shotglasses and have a few. Rapidly you will stop noticing the pain.

I managed to get halfway to work this morning before I had to pull over and puke up. Came home, and slept for another 6 hours. 
Hopefully, it's cleared itself, as I'm meant to be running a tourney tomorrow. 
And no, it's not alcohol-induced (unfortunately).
