We are going to end with our Impact player kit full of stuff :P

if you are going to make bags...please...make them big enough...i like to bring like 20-25 dices to the tournaments
rodders

I find the bags you get for laundry tablets are a good size and you can fit lots of dice in them

I'd buy an Impact one if they were about that size

Anyway to give me measurements on that rodders?

Galak
Norse

they are about 2-3 inches by 2-3 inches normally, but because they are made from netting they can stretch out a lot.. enough to fit a grapefruit if you like doing that kind of thing..

Please tell me someone else does you laundry for you

why do you think I got married??
Coneman

I have a D&D dice bag here, it is 3 1/2" x 4 1/2", the bottom corners are rounded

If you make it close with a drawstring, put one of those sprung cord lock thingies on it, the D&D one has a drawstring and if you don't tie the string off it just opens up in your case and the dice fall everywhere.

Pregnancy? Isn't that why everyone gets married?

I'm marrying my g/f next year. She not pregnant; she's just a very flexible dance teacher! I think that is reason enough for any man!

Oh! and on the actual topic for a change ...

...dice bags is a cool idea! But I'd like a subtle small one that only holds about 8-10 dice. If it fitted in one of the big guy spaces in the carry case that you sell it would be perfect!

This would be the only way I would buy a dice bag.

The ones I'm looking at would be 4"X6" ... is that small enough or too big? Not sure ... based on the posts here.

Xtreme

4X6 would be the normal dice bag size and probably what most people would expect.

But unlike roleplaying and other games that require a large amount of dice, I imagine most of the people here play a game that uses fewer dice. So a smaller bag would be ideal for that.

The dice I usually use
3 Block
4 D6
1 D8
1 D16

9 dice. The usually 40k player uses what, 451 dice?
Darkson

I normally carry all my FF dice in the case with the team, but that was because I was using one of the Grandma Wendy carry cases. A bag that fitted nicely in the Impact case would be a winner in my opinion.

Add to Xtreme's list that if I'm using my Impact dice (and why wouldn't I? ) then I can basically be down to 3 Block dice, 1 D8 and 1D16.

But I'd also be happy with one that carried all my dice, say the Laundry tablet size.

Helpful I am not!
Ted Striker

Instead of dice bags, is there room in the corner of the team cases to cut foam out for a slot for dice? With the new impact dice, you don't need d6, so a foam cutout that would let you stack 3 dice high... would work better than a bag I think...

If you mean can you do this ... probably. Can we do it ... no. Even though we've sold 152 cases so far (which is awesome to be honest ... thanks guys) ... the profit from them is still 383 GBP ($750) short from paying off the one time tooling costs to have the custom foam insert made for the cases. (i.e. ... we needed to sell about 200 cases just to break even on this project). So Impact! cannot afford to mess with the foam pattern.

Well, there will be another team case coming my way sometime soon, and I'm hoping that when I finally need to take it to club I'll get a couple more interested.

Wasn't suggesting you guys retool. It was more of a general question of if the space was there to cut it out myself. I myself have never really played a game with "alot of dice". And I couldn't see the need of a dice bag with the nifty cases (hopefully I'm getting 3 for christmas). And with the new block dice on the way eliminating the d6's, it seems the less dice the better? People who like the dice bags, please clear up my ignorance. Why a dice bag for FF? I'm not trying to put down anyone's idea.. just don't understand it. FF is the only miniature game I play.
Darkson

I've tried the minimal approach (3 block dice, 2 D6 and a D8), and I never felt comfortable, always to much "at the whim of the dice". I'm not as bad as some people (20+ D6 for one guy I know, though on 3 Block dice), but I like to have an assortment of dice available, in case one's having a "bad day". Yeah, I know it's rubbish, and dice don't have "bad days", but it makes me feel better.
Seeing as I (used to) use a Grandma Wendy carry case when I went to tourneys, I normally ended up carrying all my dice, and ended up picking and choosing from them (and have been known to swap dice mid-game), and I also really don't like using 2 Block dice the same colour (though I'm hoping the Impact ones wil break that habit). That was about 8 different types of Block dice (original/NAF/others), about 8 sets of 2 D6s (different colours and sizes), 3 D8s (normally in case anyone forgets one) and D12/D20 for randome players.
Xtreme

Not quite as many as Darkson but I like to have 4 D6 so that when I roll AV and INJ, I can use separate sets. If my opponent wasn't paying attention to the AV roll or couldn't read the dice or something they are still sitting on the table while I'm free to make the next roll.

D12, D20? Who doesn't own a D16 by now?

Mine will be in the post shortly.
antipixi

must resist urge to buy more.....must not order nice shiny d16....must hold back....I can cope with numbered pieces of card...

....who am I kidding! I'll have to order one with my first order after the new year!

Maybe by then their will be a nice dice bag that fits in a big guy slot to buy too as storage for it!
Lychanthrope

I too need a d16.

I think I'll just use a quick release from the camping store area to attach the dice bag to the case handle.

Looking into it.

However ... its looking like they'll cost close to 5 GBP / $10 to have in the store ... would anyone buy them at that point????

Without the logo ... I can sell them for like 1.50 GBP / $3 each ... but putting the logo on isn't cheap. Would folks honestly be willing to pay $7 for the logo??????? Outside of our great fanatics on the forum?

Depends.

Is the logo Embroidered or Screenprinted?

or a patch?

Don't know.

Logo would be embroidered by the same company doing the T-shirts for us.

Xtreme

I'd like to have a logo on it but that is a bit pricey.
Probably better to go without the logo, I could see myself buying one for $10. But if you had the $3 bags i'd probably by 3, and I'm sure at $3 there would be more of a market for them.

This all assuming they are going to fit in the big guy slot in the case. If they are going to be the normal dice bag size, i'm not as interested.
