Impact! Minotaur

And a different angle to try and compensate for the Horns blocking most of the light on his face.

And here's the same image exactly to scale on a 1280 x 1024 monitor

He looks good fen

I really like how his fur came out and those hooves definitely look great.

Looks great fen!

Thanks!
Igor Tahavanale

Nice. Suitibly angry. And horny...

..but not like that.

Hopefully

Nice painting Fen, but I don't like the miniature...
annachie68

I agree with Mephisto.
Dark Lord

I think he looks better than the latest Grandma Wendy one!
Mephisto

Am I wrong or are you using the same base sculpt as the cyclops for all those models? Because it is not a great model. Even if Fen is doing great, the model is not good. I'm worrying that it wouldn't be well sold...  I hope I'm wrong.

WE've made a decent amount on the Cyclops sculpt.   Yes Alex made 2 other heads for it and we are using them.  They were supposed to come out together but Fen's had this one for while.

So we are not creating more heads for the body  ...  its just looks like that way due to the length of time between painted posts.

And I personally like the body ... so I appreciate that you don't ... each person's tastes are different.

The cyclops looks great. I am a Harryhausen fan so I appreciate the look for the cyclops, but for the other heads it doesn't seem to work.

Have you considered casting another, more universal, big guy body? Perhaps a large hulking two toed/three fingered body with a bit of a pot belly? That would be generic enough for troll, ogre, minotaur whatever.

I like the heads.

I like the body.

But I don't like them together.
Mephisto

Well, then it's probably only my taste. But if you managed to sell lots of them, then it's OK.
Igor Tahavanale

I think it's the way the bodies work with the head.

On the cyclops the head is sculpted so that it's looking down. The hulking/curved appearance of the body makes the whole figure appear that it's threatening something smaller than itself. So it works. Put a head looking straight ahead on it and it looks good, but not as good as the cyclops. For me it's the relationship between body shape and head facing that stops it working as well.

That said the head is pretty sweet. Would I be right in thinking that it's bigger (longer) than most Mino heads out there? It looks more prominent to be, and therefore the figure looks more bestial. And in a mino that's a very good thing indeed

Nice paintjob by the way fen

Which is why I believe Impact should be selling these things in bits. At the very least the variant heads should be sold separately.

How many people out there have Gnashrack or Morg or Headsplitter bodies without heads? Probably a lot. I have one.

Impact should sell bits.

Let me get this store and BBFigs.com up to date first ... then I'll see about adding options on the site for head packs for the Hausien and PF's Mino.
