Impact! now carrying Heresy Ghoul & Monster + Team Deal

Impact! is now pleased to announce that we have expanded the line of Heresy Miniatures figures that we carry in the online store.

You can now purchase the Deathbowl Ghoul

You can also purchase the Flesh Golem

And a special Samhaino team deal where you can purchase them in a team package
brownrob

Can you do a team deal for:

1 Deadwood Shredder or Horror

Instead of a Ghoul... and how much would that cost?
Darkson

Shame the Ghoul isn't Andy's best scuplt.   I own one, but I've brought the normal ghouls from him to try to convert, as I think they look better.

Have you thought about getting his werewolf in though?  Fantastic model.

Different strokes on that one ... I really do not care for the werewolf at all.

Subtract 80% of the cost of a Ghoul from the price and add 80% of the cost of either of those figures and we'd be happy to sell you that via email request.

It's not Andy's best sculpt because it is Paul Muller's (Well, ok, Andy sculpted the ball and hand) The golem is also Muller's.

But; the other ghouls also look very useful. there are at least two (crouching) who should fit right in.

Plus the Paul Muller Necromancer; if it wasn't for the cloak he would have been the perfect quarterback.

(I'm at work now; and can't access Heresy; or I would have picture linked)

Totally agreed!
Not when www.westwindproductions.co.uk make superior werewolves already.

Darkson

(Perhaps these posts should be split off to another part of the forum?)

Much perfer the Heresy one to either of those two (which in turn, I perfer to the Grandma Wendy one, which in turn (regreatably ) I perfer to the Impact one above).

Ok, not one of Paul's best sculpts.

Its was Tom De Wulf's first sculpt for us. ... its a good figure ... but he has definitely improved since that figure.  That said the Werewolf Runner is one of our best selling figures.

But this is also a store thing going on here.  I added these 2 figures to our store because they cover holes currently in our range.   We make more money selling our stuff than other folks stuff ... so for the most part ... we try to carry figures that are ours ... or will help us sell more of our figures.

That werewolf figure was one of my first purchases and I don't regret it at all. Far better than the competing werewolf for the Necromantic team! If that is one of Tom's first then I shudder to think of what he might do with a werewolf now...

Yes, well I would have to say that the Samhaino range is probably the one Im most disappointed with. Ill still buy them of course!

I understand money constraibnts and all that but the range seems to have just been mashed together with whatever fits

I understand that may sound a little rough, but i just think that if you compare them to ranges that were done by the same sculptor, MK, Gnomes, Pharoahs etc the Samhaino dont really gel visually to me, after being initially impressed by the idea, eg a werewolf doesnt sit visually very well with me with a woman who came out of the tropical jungle!

Which is why the addition of the ghoul has perked my interest in the team somewhat, but i was looking forward to the headless dudes and the witch thrower you had planned

But I hope you dont take that as a bad jibe, its not!!!!
Dark Lord

I know what you mean. I love the pumkinhead, and I like most of the sackheads but the ones with the "capes" don't do it for me. And the werewolf...meh. There's a style in the sackheads and the pumpkin heads...a cool style, but the other things that have been lumped in there as place holders and add-ons detract from it. The team ends up looking like a mishmash of odds and ends (which it is.)

It needs cohesive style, THIS style...

And IMO it should get a special Deadwood.

It doesn't have to look like this, but something on it to make it seem more halloween like would go far. Right now the team doesn't say 'Halloweenie" to me. Just have the sculptor watch The Nightmare Before Christmas until he goes crazy, and then sculpts.

That kind of style would make that team really something special.

These are still planned.  We might look at doing an inexpensive Vampiress Thrower first for the team as I can get that done very inexpensively due to some recent purchases we made at the end of last year.

Agreed and understood.   At some point in the future ... I do plan on readdressing this range to fill it out better.

Dark Lord

Well, I sort of understood that. I know Impact isn't doing anything right now, and I also know that Deja was just a place holder.

I have faith in Impact and I look forward to seeing a Halloweenies team from you guys.
brownrob

Thanks Tom, one of the reasons Impact is truly great, ie listening to their customers!

Ill hold off buying these right now and see where you go with the minis, the vampiress sounds interesting! I really like the Scarecrow that Eric posted

But its definitely a theme that interests me, and Id love to play the team, but all in good time!
Dark Lord

The scarecrows and the pumpkin heads are the shizz on this team! If I were you I would get them just because! Everything else feels like place holders for me...nice place holders, but place holders nonetheless. I would like to see the werewolf ditched in favor of something more Halloween-ish. Skeletons? Ghosts? Trick or Treaters? Devils? Elvira looking girls?

Some shoulder pads & some spikes, and maybe a kneebrace or big clunky boots and she'd be ready for play!
Skip

Damn the team looks great! And a day after my league placed it's order, oh well looks like some guys here will have more orders for you in another couple months. Keep 'em comming Tom!
brownrob

Hehe DL that woman would have Grit 1 as it stands!

She would be a wizards paradise, with all that hairspray she would go up like a can of petrol!

Yeah, cant wait to see what Tom has lined up, the thing that stand to the partners of Impact is that they know exactly what we want, and give it to us without redoing the same player 3 times like other companies I could mention!!!
GalakStarscraper

Dark Lord actually has seen the Vampiress Thrower we are working on (or at least the overall concept of her).

She has Elvira like inspiration.

Dark Lord has the only mock-up version of this figure ... so you can bug him for details instead of me.

The current plan is to do the following replacements:

Headless Horseman to replace the Werewolf
Vampire Thrower and then someday a Witch Thrower to replace Theja Doris
A couple more Scarecrows based on the Doctor Who 2 part with the Blood.

Will this headless Horseman type be part of the Four Horsemen of the apocolypse mentioned in another post, or an all new venture? Either way I'm terribly excited.

Happy with all of these, though I'd still like to see a bad-ass were in the mix.

Oh, and I meant no disrespect to TDW over the werewolf.  It's a helluva a lot better than I'd ever manage, and I understand it was his first, it just doesn't sit well with the rest of the items in the team deal, placeholders or not.  I mean, after the excelent job he did with the Pumpkihead and latterly the ARBBL Ltd Ed fig, I can hardly complain about his skill level can I?

All new venture when we get there.

The idea is the classic headless horseman figure cradling his jack o' latern head in one arm and running with a stiff arm pose (similar to the Viking Runner pose that we currently sell).

For the Horsemen ... I want to make 4 player inspired by the 4 horsemen pictured in the Art of Discworld collection.

er.. hate to be an ass, but if the headless horseman is running and not riding then isn't he just the headless man??

maybe he's running after his horse..

I take pride in the fact that I have not lost touch with what made me want to start Impact! in the first place...  I'm still a member of the community, I still play (albeit less often than I would like   ) and I still paint, convert etc..  I am just as likely to enthuse about models by other companies (rolljordans frogs are brilliant) as I am about our own.. and I openly admit to not liking all the minis Impact! has produced...

I think that is what make us a little different - we're regular guys and we're honest about what we like and how we run our business..

in the words of the immortal House of Pain:

how d'ya know where yer goin' if you don't look back?
what's the use in having ends if ya lose all yer friends...?

thus endeth the lesson in altruistic business practice and early nineties caucasian hippety-hop..

Yeah ... we might do a Mr. Soak inspired figure as well especially since that is Ramsay unofficial personification for Impact! (inside TBB joke from a while back)
