Impcrusher coming soon (pics posted)

The Impcrusher is rolling into the Impact! store hopefully be the middle of November.

Here is a look of one of the master copies assembled. The Impcrusher is 37mm to the eyes of the driver.

Hope you like it!

Thanks DL ... wish I was a speed painter (like those 15 minute guys at GenCon) because I think with paint he'll really look good.

As for price ... I need to get the bill for casting him up first ... but I'm really going to try and keep him priced at our normal Big Guy price (7.50 GBP / $14 USD) ... however ... it might be just a bit higher than that.

Casting is done by weight and # of items.

An Ice Troll is 53 grams and 4 pieces.

The Impcrusher is 80 grams and 11 pieces ... so I might end up needing to price him maybe a GBP or 2 higher but I don't see him going over 10 GBP / $20 USD.

As one who doesn't post very often: I love that ImpCrusher!

This just makes the order I want to make bigger and bigger (tbh I'm holding back, as I'm waiting for the gnomish contraptions).

Real sweet looking, Galak! Might convience me to go gnome once they come out

Though I know I have been working on the mod too long when my first thought was: cool, now I can get Pat to finish off this an get my dwarf rosters completed

When you put it on line you should offer the arms too. That way you could make a contraption with wheels if you like and have it serve two purposes. I could just see an impcrusher with a saw and claw or something.

The special arms are going to be offered as a speciality pack.

Great surprise again Tom! Guess it's not gonna be ready before Brassbowl in december?

I would hope so.

I'm supposed to get miniatures by the end of this week.

And then I'll turn around and ship them out.

Cool. I'll make some announcement posts on the fora there then!

It needs some low rider suspension mods and underlighting.

Is there a different head for the Thunder Hammer dwarves, or does the fluff have them THd getting a Crusher with the gnome driver? I can see it either way. Lots and lots of gold has a away of making friends and buying training/drivers

I honestly see this as race synergy.

The Gnome and Thunder Hammer clan have a lot in common and geographically speaking they share a border of region of control and I'm sure they have mines that pass next to each other (maybe even intersect at certain point?)

As such I could very easily see the Dwarves coming over with several barrels of premium ale and contracting a Gnome to drive an Impcrusher as part of the team.

I really like the idea of making a Cattle Catcher front for this thing as an option.

We'll see how it sells but I can easily see coming out with this modification of the chassis and maybe a front end loader front at some point as well.

Not proirity items ... but definitely can see it as a possible.

Ah, let people do their own conversions. You got more important things to make.

I just thought I'd let people know. I assembled the Impcrusher last week, it's very simple to put together and requires no pinning unless you desire it. I would suggest painting it before attaching it to the base, as the underside would be difficult to reach if you do that.

It is a lot, lot simpler than the Deadwood was to assemble It would require some conversion work to swap the wheels around though as they have different attachment methods. Not difficult to do mind you.
Rabid_Bogscum

did this ever end up with any variants? cattle catcher etc?

No.

Impcrusher didn't sell as well as I had hoped ... so it didn't generate enough interest to spend more cash on it.
