It's time for me to ask for donations for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light The Night Walk.

My Aunt Carol was an amazing person. She loved everybody and was the linchpin that held my family together. She was the one that organized all the events for this massive Irish Catholic family (to which she wasn't even blood!) and she was the one that kept everybody smiling. There's a lot of people in my family and I don't like all of them...but the one person I looked forward to hugging at every holiday was my Aunt Carol. Her positive energy was almost palpable and it was nearly impossible to be in a bad mood around her.

After she got sick my family splintered. Everyone has just gone on to do their own events on a smaller scale. We only get together once a year now and even then it just isn't the same. I miss her a lot and my cousins miss her even more.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light The Night Walk is a charity that wants to make sure that this doesn't happen to any other families.
