League NightWith a fair few people being introduced to the elfball client now it seems like a good time to propose a league. I think that a really cool way to do this would be to have a set league night. That way we could all bundle into the client to play our games at the same time and have a bit of chit chat, swap some death threats etc, it should help to give the whole thing a good atmosphere.
There are lots of ways we could do this but I was thinking that the following format might work best:
- All games played on the Elfball client
- Round robin, one game a week, some sort of simple points system for winning
- Each game played to a single goal
- All official (i.e. in the rulebook) advanced and experimental rules used
Those arent set things at all, just what I think would work best at the moment and as such they are very open to debate 
If people arent able to turn up to the odd gaming night then that dosent have to be a problem if they can agree on a suitable alternative time to play with their opponent. However for now I think its best for all if you only join if you can turn up relatively reliably, the odd session or two missed would be fine but if you arent going to be around for most of the season then by all means indicate interest but you'll probably need to sit out for now.
Knowledge of the client or rules is not a problem but you'd be expected to know how to play before the first night. If you need an introductory game to either the rules or the client then just post and we'll try and arrange something for you.
What days and what times would people be able to play? I was thinking friday night (early evening in the US) or some time at the weekend, once we have some idea what times would suit people we can work out the best time for it.
