Matching the felt of the Impact BoardsI'm working on a custom board, but I know my limitations. If I want one thing to be non-crooked, it's the board itself so rather than inflict my meager artistic abilities on the board I have decided to use an impact board.But, to make this work and look right, I need extra green felt that matches the Impact board (or close enough). I just went to my local arts and crafts store, but they only had super dark and super bright greens, nothing near the right colour. Can anyone either suggest a specific brand or let me know what the actual name of that colour felt is? Any assistance would be great... |

I'd write to Eric at Hotz Mats and see if he could help you with that ... or maybe even sell you some felt. I know for example that he's told me that when he makes the 40mm mats for us that he has leftover felt that he has to throw away.

Thanks Galak, thats really the only option that makes sense. I actually checked the mat descriptions before checking the forum, and I'd planned on googling "HotzMats" after seeing if anyone had responded.
At about $20 US for more felt than I could ever possibly need, it's about twice the cost of buying felt locally but well worth it to match the colour. |

I'm not opposed to the idea, but you should know I'm in Australia so the cost of sending any extra felt back to the USA would probably neutralise any saving you might make.
Chances are that for the same price or a few extra dollars you could one of the smaller mats directly from the supplier and save yourself upwards of several months waiting on international post and me (almost equally slow  )
