My Elfball team Thread
Ill keep updateing this thread with my Elfball teams, for there is the Ninja!
I originally got this team as I couldnt find a well painted Divine Wind Team out there and wanted to do them justice, I may not have done this guy justice, but I reckon he looks better than the Stock Photo!

Yeah, yours is better than the stock's one. Perhaps Galak could take yours instead.

Man Rob, you don't paint enough these days. Seriously you keep improving from one paint job to the next and show no sign of hitting a peak yet.

Yup, thats why I took it upon myself to try to do them justice! Hopefully the paintjob alone might shift an extra team or two for Impact! At least until Urb paints his and makes another masterpiece
Ill do the same for the Gnolls as well after, and when I paint up the whole team I can take a 12 player group shot as IMHO it will look better than whats currently there. Looks more like a Team then, which is what Elfball is really about
I was going to buy the Desert Dogs minis based on Urbs work until i decided Id try to improve these 2 teams (2 teams was my financial limit!), but Im having such a hard time deciding what two teams to get with the Elfball Boxed set, well Pharoahs are straight there, the other is gonna be tough :D

It's nice to see people buying Elfball teams based on the miniatures and not on the rules.
I'm looking forward to seeing more of these.

I think thats a masterstroke where ElfBall is concerned, as most teams have similar stats, you can have a lot of options for your team, so you can pick minis you like rather than being shoehorned into a choice
I did enjoy painting those two, I know with Games Workshops Wood Elf team, I love playing Wood Elves, but I absolutely hated painting the minis, hoping I can Improve on the last 2 Divine Wind, well I did the Sumo Defender already but I dont like it, so I think Ill try to fix him, thats for tomorrow night!
Right now Im also trying to rescore a piece of handwritten A4 music I was given, 15 parts and 190 bars, and I have to fit it on a sheet of A5!

One of the figures I'd like to get sculpted at some point is a Sumo for the Divine Wind team more in the style of the one Hasslefree did for the Martial arts range.

Hey Rob ... not to be pushy ... but I am going to be a bit pushy.
Any chance you could finish the Samauri guy??? If you get it done this week ... I'll reprint the 250 blister packs for GenCon with your artwork ... but I need it soon so I can still have time to get those packs put together.

Yeah, band practice killed me... I had to spend the hour I had before practice printing out music for everyone... But i Guarantee it will be finished tonight!

Don't sweat it! It looks great...I was just telling Tom on the phone that I always thought the Divine Wind minis were lacking but now I realize it was just the paint job. You have really made me want these!

Im 75% of my way through a Gnoll, so if I get time tonight, there may be more stuff to ogle over I think he looks OK so far, trying to make a stab at a football top (yes English football for those wondering!) though Im not confident to try a sponsor yet ;) Ill need to get a fine brush for that :)
