No pics yet ... just an update on what went to the casterOkay on Monday the following went to the caster:
1) 3 Gnomish Contraption Torso
Combined with the 3 cockpits and 2 different legs this will give you 12 different base Contraptions (assuming all using normal arms).
2) Impcrusher ... a vehicle for the Elfball pitch with spiked wheels
3) Bazooka Jo-Nome ... a cannon arm for the Contraption with 4 different barrel fronts (blank, with ball, with helmeted Bazooka Jo-Nome, and with Gnome capped Bazooka Jo-Nome)
4) Minotaur head for the Hausien Cyclops body
5) Swinetaur head for the Hausien Cyclops body
6) Dutch Open Limited edition figures

Hopefully by the first week of November. Really depends on how quickly Fen can paint them (assuming he is still on deck to paint them).

 | Next batch. Ran out of money for casting and the Contraptions had come in before the Ghoulings.
As soon as we have the cash for it (by the mid to end November) the Ghoulings will be heading to the caster. (just don't have infinite cash ... sorry)

Yes, I am. Shouldn't take too long, I'm settled and have a fixed timetable of study and work so I can now dedicate some evenings to painting.

If the NFL hadn't come to London and cost me $1000 I'd have been very supportive.

How do the arms/legs attach to the body? Are we looking at the traditional "ball-and-socket", or do they have sculpted pins?
Just thinking of (possibly) using the same strong (but small) magnets a mate started using for his 40K dreadnougts.

So will the contraptions be ready for sale in Nov? I would like to buy the elf ball but I want to wait for the two team and the gnomes to be done.

Wow, these ghoulings really suit to me.
I didn't buy any dealing mini yet 'cause I use Impact! minis for Grandma Wendy Fantasy Football and I have an hobbit team and a goblin team yet... but I may think again about that...
The deadwood treemen are really beautiful, I've just fallen in love with ghoulings and really liked the vampling and the little monster. Well, I will have to choose some skeletons and zombies... and that will be a beautiful stunty team !

Hey, Tom, I noticed you had a couple of vamplings in the sketch phase back in September. Any chance one of those looks like the one in the rulebook? What is the projected timeline for the rest of the deadlings to be cast?
Can't comment on the ghoulings 'til after I get home tonight, firewall at work prevents me from viewing.

The Deadlings make good FF Undead, Necro, and Halfling teams also. I own a Necro team, but I intend to use mine as Deadlings in Elfball and Undead & Halfling teams in FF.

We have sketches ... ... its just that infinite cash thing that we don't have going for us. Its also the fact that we love having Tom DeWulf do the Deadlings and he has two miniatures on his plate at present that need to get get finished first Frank and Darkson for their tournaments.
When his plate frees up and he has time ... we'll get some more Deadlings made.
My understanding from Tom was that he was interested in sculpting the 2nd Wight sketch we have next.

Same here, I plan on using the Deadlings for Elfball, of course, and as an alternate team for Necromantic, Undead and Halfling teams for FF.
No big deal, Tom, I was just curious. I am patient.

At this rate my deadling squads going to be 30+ players.
Time to start petitioning Tom to have 30-man Elfball squads?
Back to the question of the contraptions arm/leg attachment...

Here, here. I agree 110%.

I've seen an article on this. Using neo dot magnets. Especially for mutations. Pull off the hand, add a claw. Pull off the arm add a tentacle. Pull off the head and add two heads.
I don't know why this won't work with the contraptions, swapping out the various arms.

They are either flat or ball/socket ... I think that you could definitely do the magnet arms approach.
Might try it myself to see how it works.

I will go the magnet route, better than buying enough contraptions to cover all possibilities. Of course, I am sure Galak wouldn't mind.
