Norse sheepishly presents... the Middle Kingdoms team..

warning - lotsa pics.....

why sheepish?? - well these are weeks overdue and far from my best work, but hopefully inspirational, enjoyable or not my worst work in years..

anyway, PFs MK team is a gorgeous team - I just wish I had more time to do it full justice...

Dark Lord

We wants it! Yes, the precious...mmmn!
majortusk

very nice, I likes as well.

would be cool to see a full team shot as well.

Norse those are great, i love your paint scheme, i tried it and since im not a great painter i opted for a different scheme, Grandma Wendy's regal blue jumper and black leggings, the armour ive done bronze and the caps on the boots ive done the Boltgun metal..... but yeah i like the way you have done these guys.

I don't think my camera has a wide enough lens..

If you take multiple shots there are people who can do cool things with panoramic views. My "cousin" took rotating photos of about 70 people all in a circle around him and melded it into one large photo.

Surely some-one around here has that ability..
Dark Lord

If you take multiple shots and keep the camera relatively the same distance away I can assemble them into a panoramic view.
Norse

and what's wrong with the multiple shots above by position..
Dark Lord

Nothing I guess.

I must have pissed DL off, he's even changed his avatar!!
Dark Lord

That was for an avatar contest on CBR forums. The theme was funny animals.

Usagi Yojimbo is my all time favorite comic book. Thought I'd use him here for a while too.
Norse

I'm more of a Hajime Soriyama kind of guy..
Thom

Sweet! I like them a lot!
Dark Lord

has he written any books? That would be an interesting read.

As far as I knew Sorayama just did art for S&M fetishists...ohhh...
Norse

Spiky

I like these too, and would like to place another vote for a full team picture
Purdindas

They look awesome. I'm assuming you used a matt varnish. If so how did you get the armour to be shiny again afterwards?
Norse

they are not varnished at all...

I painted the armour like:

Dwarf Bronze
Chestnut Ink (which is glossy)
Shining Gold
Burnished Gold

end result looks OKish I guess.. kinda like well polished bronze..
Justin Kase

Your skill makes me sick

Excellent, as always, and I really like the color choices.

I would guess they are sponsored by

Although they may be a bit more 300...

Small Midgets?!
Purdindas

Wow looks good. I totally thought they were varnished.

Have you ever attempted something like that? Say, you did use matt varnish, how would you get the armour to look shiny again? I had the idea of putting PVA on the bits that need to be shiny. Seems to work ok but are their any other techniques?
Norse

oh yes I've done it..  you can buy gloss varnish in a pot and then apply it after your spray of matt varnish to achieve the desired result..

I have done it on gems, eyes (big guys, not small eyes!   ), bottles, open mouths and also on slimy things like plague monsters entrails and the like..

in fact, come to think of it, I use it quite a lot as a technique..
Purdindas

Cool

Thanks Norse
