No chance ... sorry.

The two colours of ink would increase the price to a cost actually greater than what we paid to have the boards made.

I expect felt "boards" to be more expensive, honestly. Not that you really want to split your market at this point, anyway, but it might be something to keep in mind for when you are rolling in orders   .
Dark Lord

Tarota, they're talking about the felt boards already available from the store.

I don't think anyone is suggesting a felt mat mounted on chipboard. Personally, I would never buy such an item. Printed paper looks better and unmounted felt can be rolled up. It would basically be taking throwing out the advantages of both mediums and combining them. blech.

So was I; sorry if I was unclear. I will point out that I thought the game mats available from the store were a real bargain...
Xtreme

Sounds like I have a long wait for a Crossroads mat then don't I.
GalakStarscraper

Tell you what Bryan.  I'll put the Crossroads ahead of the Deathbrawl mat.

How are these actually being made, that they take so long?  Granted, they're quality pieces -- I love mine, own two, and sold my actual FF board from Grandma Wendy when I got them, so I'm very appreciative of the quality -- and I understand that balancing production time vs. quality of output can be a fine line... but even so, the timeframe on these just seems to be a little excessive.
lahatiel

Thanks for the info, that definitely clears up a lot of stuff and things make much more sense now.  And I agree 100% on the quality; that's why my two came in separate orders -- once I got the first and could see and feel just how great it was, I had to have another!     Anything that's been going on for that long has got to be quite troubling for the makers, though, so I just hope for the best for them, for their sake.

I should also mention that he lives in an area of Canada that frequently loses power due to weather.

Its nothing for me to get an email from him saying that he's been unable to go into his shop for a period of 4 days to a week due to too much snow in the way to get to the shop or power lost and not yet restored.

I've joked with him that he really should consider a move to say Florida.     then all he'd have to worry about would be hurricanes

And Snew

Snew lives in Oregon.  I realize that the USA is a big confusing place Rob ... but there is a small difference between Florida and Oregon in geographic location (and climate).

And the population of morons.

I wish Florida would just fall off into the ocean and take Texas with it.
bouncergriim

Those of us in TX take offense to that, now you can ask that california falls of the map and I would be fine with that.

I have many friends in Texas including my wife came from there ... my largest client that I work on for the day job is based in Texas ... so I will have to not share DL's request for that state to fall in the ocean.

I cannot share his request for Florida to fall in since my parents live there and I vacation there for 2 weeks a year.

I cannot share a request for California to fall in because ... because .... uhhhhh ... hmmmmmm .... okay maybe California would be okay.   NO WAIT ... lahetial and darthnoir live in California and they are both good customers .. so I'll have to request that no one hopes for California to fall in until those two have a chance to move first.

Plus the 49ers are in Calafornia so they cant go anywhere

And before anyone PMs me that lives in Florida, Texas, or California ... please note ... all of this banter is meant in good fun.

I lived in Tampa Bay for a short period.

Contrary to popular belief Florida is more like Louisiana bayou than Orlando's palm trees, oranges and bikinis. Rednecks, racism, and NASCAR fans as far as the eye could see...in other words Hell.

As for Texas...well, it's big enough that I could settle for East Texas falling into the Gulf and West Texas staying around.

And yeah, this is good natured ribbing.

I always liked the idea of South Dakota falling into the sea - shame it would have to take a lot of other states with it.

Now, let's talk about Scotland...
Dark Lord

Funny thing about Scots vs. English. I always thought it was sort of stereotype, or something played up for the movies.

The very first cab driver asked if we knew anyone, and I said I knew some English but only over the net..."Bah, English. I bet they're all know-it-all bastards, aren't they?" and he just went on like that for the whole ride.
Darkson

Meanwhile, while he was berating us, we were subsidising his treatment for alcholism, whilst paying for his children's university education.

I'm a firm believer in devolution and a seperate Scotland (and they can have Wales if they want it ;)  ).
GalakStarscraper

So if I do the Crossroads mat next is anyone other than Xtreme going to buy one?  (and Norse doesn't count as a vote).

What is Crossroads?

More than likely.

Sounds wacky, fun and more than unbalanced, so right up the street for our gaming group.

Don't join the with the Welsh! They're almost unbearable as it is!
Dark Lord

So we got Crossroads coming, when do we get chainsaws and bombs?
Stout Youngblood

Depending on my finances, that is one I am most interested in.
Xtreme

Lychanthrope

GalakStarscraper

None whatsoever.  ;-)

Probably somewhere between the 29mm and 40mm mats.

With our supplier ... somewhere between two weeks and 4 months.

I have an email in to get an update as I placed the order 2 weeks ago so we'll see where we are.
