the rules are actually already out. this appears to expand on them :)
it was fun playing it. we even have a huge 4x4 custom board at our house for it.
I am hoping that it is released at Gen Con, well atleast in limited edition before the normal release. Privateer has done that before.

I'm interested to see what these plastic Jacks look like. Could be fun to pick up for the modeling if nothing else. But seems like a cool concept as well.

In Warmachine fluff the Runner is a Rhulic light steamjack, and the basis for the Gunner and Blaster warjacks. Look at those models and yo SHOULD have an idea what they'll look like like. Crushers? no idea.

Sadly my trust in Privateer has been somewhat eroded in the last twelve months or so. We'll see if this is an improvement on what they put out in No Quarter magazine a couple of years ago. Those rules didn't seem too good. They wanted to produce a new game but not move it away from Warmachine.
Sounds like what a certain other company did with a certain other fantasy football game to an extent.
I hope this will be entirely independent of Warmachine, apart from possibly being able to use some of my existing 'jacks. Having a Marauder in Grind would be cool.

I am curious about this game. Looks like a fun addition to my other fantasy sports games... I wonder if the Gnome contraptions are on the same scale as the jacks?
Also what kind of dynamics does the current NQ incarnation of this game use. I am completely unfamiliar with PP.
Can't find a synopsis of the rules anywhere online.

Looking at the game, the board squares seem to be 2inches x 2 inches (based on the size of the board 22 x 31 inches and 7 squares wide with 2 squares of boarder on both sides of board by 13 squares with an extra square+ of boarder) so the bases are about 51mm? and the figures are taller than the bases so maybe 70mm tall Gnomes range from 1.5inches to a little over 2 at the top of the head so 36mm to 60mm or so. I know measurements are ussually done to the eyes, but this is my best estimates. So they look like they will be usable, though the gnomish drives will look big probably compared to the size of their contraption/jacks.
again all these are estimates based on my looking at the box art posted on the PP page.
Also does anyone know if this is like elfball move one player at a time or is it move whole team?
In US I found the cheapest price online @ https://www.cardhaus.com/cgi-loca...848101676193832322/picture=152083 $42+$11 for shipping.

Do you know how much the shipping costs to Europe could be?

I would check to see if a local game store can order it for you. they might be able to get it from a distributor in the area for no shipping involved.
I would assume its a heavier box, probably similar to space hulk or fantasy football.

Rules for grind are now up on PP website here: http://privateerpress.com/company/grind-rules-available-in-pdf

RulesI have been reading and trying to digest these rules for a bit now and was curious what others thought so far. I have been reading the PP forum and they are comparing it more to Warmachine (c) than fantasy football at this point. I would like a FF/EB gamers perspective on this.

(I'm bad, triple posting)
Grind has a release date Oct 21
http://privateerpress.com/company/grind-release-date-announced
I am looking forward to this game, despite the lack of league play. I love that it combines concepts from FF and EB. Move whole team (FF) and you roll mutiple dice and need multiple successes rather than the overly simplistic d6 for everything in FF.

Got the game, I like it. Fast paced good depth of strategy, though i haven't found any really good defensive strategies yet. Anyone else played this yet? The Jacks (robots) are contraption sized, looking for a way to import/homebrew some rules for the Contraptions.
