Plough Skill

Says in the manual that, 'This player may spend one Momentum counter and one pace of Jog to move into the hex his opponent was previous in immediately after a successful Shove challenge.'

Should this be one momentum counter OR one pace of jog or do you really need both? Reading through them all I can only imagine how much fun Ceph is going to have trying to get them all working in the tool!
Dark Lord

I think actually it should read "instead of one pace of Jog" since you can already move to that hex by spending Jog normally. That's how we play it anyway. I think this is one of those things that we played correctly because of our fast skimming of the rules!

The rule is correct as worded as it doesn't require a Disengage challenge to move into the hex.

I agree that if you don't have a Disengage challenge in the mix that its worse but then you just don't use the skill.

The skill was meant to allow easy chain Pushing through an opposing 2 or 3 pack of players (which is a key strategy in Elfball to have a buddy).

Having only Momentum counters spent to follow-up would just allow for really sick 3rd edition B-B Frenzy type plays which was not the intent of Plough at all.

Oh I see.

Seems a very situational skill then. I don't know if it will be used often in our matches. We don't have a lot of Shoves in large groups of people...but that could be because we don't have Plough...hmmn.

I didn't like plough all that much until my last game. Then I wished my defenders both had it. I could have blown right through his goaltender and scored two turns early, I think. This skill might be very underrated, especially when you using two activations per turn.
Dark Lord

We haven't used the 2 activations rule yet, and I admit it's only because something about it just seems "wrong" in a way I can't describe.

For some reason my brain says you should move your whole team or just one player...stupid, I know.

Maybe we will give it a shot.
