Putting together siringit

Hi,
quick silly question - what are the little bits that come with the hippo and rhino?

Thanks,
Mike

From the website:

The Rhino comes in pieces: Body, Head, Ears, and both Arms

The Hippo comes in pieces: Body, Ears, and both Arms

Clint felt they would not cast.  I'm not sure ... he sculpted the figure that way so I'll never know if they would have cast or not.   That was NOT a design plan by the Impact! team.

Want to be clear ... I love Clint's work ... but I have questioned what he did with the Rhino and Hippo ears on several occassions.

Just doing them now.  I've thinned the bit that sticks into the head, which makes it a bit easier.  I LOVE these models, btw.  I normally can't paint stuff without chopping it up and sticking it back to other things, but I can't improve these guys.

fiddly bits like that generally don't cast well, which is why many people simply don't do them at all. they are a pain to glue in place, but the figs are awesome and wouldn't be the same any other way. i retain the right to complain about assembling them, but i also retain the right to say they are some of the best looking minis around. lol

Ugh! The ears! The ears!

Oh those ears! They do look great once you have them on...but putting them on was awful! I thought about trying to pin them for about .07 seconds.

If only the base of the ears had a chunk of the head connected to it they would be easier to glue in and not so fiddly.

now that is't a bad idea for future fiddly ear figs.

which brings me to another idea. i'm going to start a new hopefully fun thread in the off topic section
