Replace or RerollHi, this may seem obvious but of all of our regular BBers that read this were confused by the use of the word 'replace' in terms of momentum counters. We have assumed you can use counters to reroll bad dice but given it says 'replace' does it mean you simply count that dice as a success?
Say you roll 4 dice, 1 success, 2 flops and a blank. Could you use 2 momentum counters to end up with 3 success dice or do you reroll the two flops and hope for something better?
We're assuming the latter but thought it best to check.
Thanks
Andrew
PS; sensation game BTW

I read it as a reroll mate, but wait for confirmation from the big man (Galak)
Welcome to the forum also!

You reroll it, however, you cannot reroll a flopped roll. So 1 success, 2 flops, and a blank is non-rerollable by momentum. A skill might allow you to reroll one though.

So a flop cannot be rerolled at all? That changes things a bit. We were simply treating them as rerolls, flops and all.

No, just the dice, you can reroll a dice that shows a flop, just if there are more flops than successes then that counts as a"flopped roll", and you cant use momentum to reroll any dice on a flopped roll
Sorry if im coming across wrong though!

A B.B. re-roll has the same effect as a momentum replace accept that you only re-roll as many dice as you use momentum counters.
In B.B. a re-roll replaces all dice. IE in 3rd edition re-rolling Dauntless let you re-roll both dice for one re-roll. So that is the difference.

OK, just so we are 100% clear.
a) If the INITIAL roll is a flop, you're stuck with it and can't use momentum to reroll anything.
b) If the roll is not a flop but but there are SOME flop dice they may be rerolled using momentum.
Correct?
Cheers for the help.

Yes that is correct
You can also reroll blanks and successes if you wish, it is not just applicible to flop dice :)
Hope that makes sense!
