Snowtroll - W.I.P -> Cast

As most of you may know, the Snowtroll was my first ever sculpt and although it took a long time, it turned out pretty ok. This was mainly due to help and support from loads of different people and a big thank you goes out to them all

Ok -

First efforts at getting the rough shape in...

The ill fated 'birdfeet' period...

Feet (under construction - again... ) and more detail sculpted...

Headspikes or not...

Left arm done and finished sculpt -

Cast and Primed -

Painted! Hooray!

I know that I've still got loads to learn about sculpting but hopefully this can help highlight most of the process through a mini so folks can see how things take shape through time...

Cheers,

Ewan

I love seeing the development of the troll. The final version is my favorite. The only thing I would've changes is biggest claws on the feet. A very minor detail on such a excellent figure.
Torg

Yes, awesome fig, already put in my order (though a little premature, sorry about that).
Chairface

Wow, did he ever progress! I kind of liked the headspikes, but I understand that they weren't practical. He turned out fantastic. I can't wait for mine.
Ewan

Just be patient for a couple more weeks mate!

We are all eager to open but things need done first!

Not too long now!
Chairface

I know, I know. Its just hard to wait when the minis are so freaking cool
Bonehead

Still unbelievable that it is your first sculpt. He looks so cool.
Sallacious

Indeed...very impressive. I too really enjoy getting to see the preliminary sculpts to the finished product.
Axtklinge

yeah, the mohawk look was way cool..
Chairface

Ok, I've decided. I'm going to almost blatantly rip off your colour scheme with a few notable exceptions.
Urb

It's a great colour scheme for sure.
