Starting a Divine Wind team

Hi,

I've painted the first member of my elfball team, Circular Logic.

I'm not entirely sure of the colour scheme, so thought I'd see what you guys think!

Cheers,

Nice! I like it.
Dark Lord

It looks great but I don't really get the facial color.

The uniform color is awesome!

Thanks for the comments

I wasn't sure how best to get an realstic asian skin tone using my citadel paints, in the end used tallarn flesh as a base and mixed in with pallid flesh for the highlights...I was trying to aim for something a bit manga/anime

I might try the same on a defender to see how it turns out, as it may look better with more visible skin on the model

Any pointers for what colours to use if I were to repaint the flesh?

Cheers!

Haha thats brilliant, I love the grumpy expression, can imagine him saying "sod this Im fed up marking Ice Trolls!"

I like the orangey bits, they are very "chewy" like the style I aim for

I also like the symbol on his hat, looks much better than the one I did!

Thanks for posting these, always nice to see others work

IMO you're over thinking it.

Japanese skin is basically the same tone as Caucasian. Maybe just slightly more brown.

I don't know the Grandma Wendy colors to tell you what to use but for me I take the normal flesh tone, and add just a tiny amount of raw sienna. Shadows have more sienna and highlights are just straight flesh tones or maybe slightly lightened.
That's if I want to put the effort in. Most times I just paint them the same as my whities but with less highlights.

They look great tho!

Really nice paint job!

I quite like the skin tone. It made me think of the sorceror from big trouble in little china. And I love that film!

Can't see the last picture

I've nearly base coated my 3 defenders, so will hopefully have some more work to post in the next week or so...

Thanks for the feedback!

Got a picture of the back of this mini?
Spiky

No... but I have a defender and striker painted now, so will probably try and get some more shots taken and posted sometime this week :-)

Hi All,

I managed to take some shots last night! Please note that I'm into my gloss varnish at the moment for increased gaming durability (I paint to game rather than to display   )

As always any comments welcomed!

Regards,
Spiky
Thom

Looking good!

You probably already know this, but you can matte varnish over the gloss to add extra durability and knock down the shine, they are looking good overall though!
