Street Brawl Dwarves (sneak peak)Here is a sneak peak at some (not all) of the Street Brawl Dwarf team which will looks like it will be released at the same time as the Contraptions. The figures were sculpted by Pierre Francois Jacquet.
Now this team is the major reason we are having the Holiday sale so that we can raise the money to cast the new Contraption legs and the 11 Dwarf sculpts we have coming in.
We are currently 4500 GBP away from being able to cast everything up.
So if there is a lot of interest in this team from this thread ... I'll post updates to how close we are to casting it (similar to the Gnome countdown).
Hopefully this will be an extra encouragement to make a purchase during the Holiday sale.

I agree, I see nothing on them that doesnt make them fit in with the elfball dwarf range ? even if you have other ideas for the elfball dwarves, they can be used to fill the thunder mountain team now, so that you're a step closer to having all the teams filled, after wich alternative sculpts can be made if desired :)
you may think that many people will understand they can be used as elfball dwarves as well, but Im pretty sure that many people dont make that connection persay (probably few of them are gamers tough ;)
I especially like the first, second and running one (all helmeted) but Im not into dwarves usually :)

We were planning on doing more of a Highland/Braveheart design for the Thunder Hammer Dwarves.
However ... these figures will be sold in the Thunder Hammer section. They are meant to be Thunder Hammer Dwarves ... just we felt they were more thuglike than we planned for the Elfball team.
So these are Thunder Hammer Dwarves ... if you use them for Elfball games ... more power to you!
Right now as soon as we have the 4500 GBP we need ... the 11 Dwarves, the new Contraption legs, a Targeted Female player, a Targeted Minotaur, and hopefully 2 Samhaino Midfielder sculpts by Steve Buddel under our Targeted agreement ... they'll all head off to the caster.

If folks holiday order like I hoped they would ... we'll send them to the caster at the end of November. If not ... then as soon as we have the money in December to pay for the casting work.
The Impcrusher is already in the store available for sale. I didn't announce it yet because the miniatures are in transit to the UK shipping location at this time. I normally don't announce a figure until I know both Gavin and I have our stock in hand.
But we have them in stock in the USA so we can fill early orders of them without issue.
Swinetaur and Minotaur based on the Hausien Cyclops will go in the store as soon as Fen sends me pics of them.

Elfball dwarfs just does nor sound right
The team looks very nice on the whole. The only thing I'm not sure about are the legs/feet. The legs just look too tiny and why do the boots look like something out of some ancient diving suit? But on the whole very good job.

In fact the bald Dwarf in the sneak peak ... 2nd row far right I think is very close to the look and feel of what I want for the kilted Dwarf version.
Remember what I said about our plans for Impact!
That our long term plans are to release multiple figures useable for the same team.
For example ... we already have 3 versions of the Samhaino Midfieler planned. I also very much am planning on doing at some point a set of 4 Samhaino Hunters based on the 4 horsesman of the apocolyplse.
====
So just because we release this team under the Thunder Hammer Dwarf section of the store ... does not mean the kilted one is a dead plan.
====
Looking at our current 6 month plan we hope to release full versions of the following teams in the next 6 months:
Thunder Hammer Dwarves
Gnomes
Black Rock Dwarves
Siringit
(by full version I mean at least 1 miniatures for each roster slot).

After thinking about it, I have to say. I absolutely adore this team. They have everything I'd want from a Dwarf squad - pity the team sucks in that other game. But I can't wait to really go to town on a set of these guys. I may dislike the standard stereotyped Dwarf, but I do love painting them.

I would like to try them in ElfBall though! Once I get my head out of using other strategies in other FF games I think the Dwarves are a decent team in ElfBall. Part of the problems in other FF games is that the Dwarves most effective tactic is to grind up the field taking out as many as possible, which can be nigh on impossible to stop if you are playing a very good opponent with a tooled up team
The facings pretty much kill the grind up in a cage idea. If you try that tactic, a player like a widowmaker is going to eat you for breakfast, racking momentum up for the big hit with a disengage or two

There will be 13 Dwarves total. I will be offering a team deal with one of each in it (as well as other versions). That team deal of one of each of the 13 Dwarves will sell for 26 GBP. So I might recommend buying two 15 GBP gift certificate before the end of November (and sending me an email to merge them into one certificate) which will come to you with a total value of 33 GBP.
Then you'll get the free 10% worth of stuff when the Dwarves come out later and you'll be helping us reach our goal of cash to cast up the team.
Not of course to discourage you from picking up other real stuff now ... but just throwing out a suggestion for anyone who knows they'll want the Gnome or Dwarf team that won't be out fully until after the Holiday sale to get the free 10%.

| I know some of our stuff is rough and we fully admit that ... we allow amateur sculptors to work for us (with screening).
But the sculpts by Tom de Wulf, Patrick Keith, and Victoria Lamb are beautiful sculpts full of detail and character. So it boggles my mind when I hear folks say that we aren't trying to produce quality figures ... ah well.
I guess this is the first "standard" set of figures we've added to the store ... that could have a lot to do with it.

I for one love what you guys do. (I can't believe I have been called an Impact fanboy already)
The thing is that any figure you guys have went out and found an artist to produce has looked amazing. Leaps and bounds above what Grandma Wendy is pooping out.
And as far as all of the other stuff goes what it lacks in professionalism it more than makes up for in creativity. I am way more likely to buy a mini that has some 'rough edges' but is original and creative than some polished turd that looks like all the other polished turds. I'm not joking when I say that I bet when they teach these "apprentices" to sculpt at Grandma Wendy they tell them to cover their mistakes with skulls, chains and spikes. EVERYTHING has the same standard skulls, chains and spikes on them. It's sooooo boring.
Someone brought up on TBB that the Impcrusher had a big skull on the front and therefore I was a hypocrite, but they totally missed what I'm talking about. I'm not bored by skulls. I'm bored by every corner having a skull on it to mask the rough edge, every seam has a chain running down it because the noob doesn't know how to smooth things out, every figure has a boat load of skulls, chains and hair to cover the warped anatomy.
The Impcrusher has a theme and the skull works because it's not there to cover mistakes and substitute for real detail.
I digress. My point is Impact minis have soul and love put into them and it shows. They are created by artists, not produced by employees. Grandma Wendy is a company that only cares about what comes in (money) and not about what goes out (product). If they had a market report that that said the next big thing was going to be ponies, Grandma Wendy would have a big release of pony models complete with skulls and chains on them. If they thought they could make more money by making minis for girls then Warhammer would turn into Rainbow Bright world...they don't care.
Impact cares, and loves its worlds.
It makes all the difference. Keep it up.

Gnome Team is currently planned to be offered in two team deals:
Elfball Team Deal ($60)
3 Contraptions (one of each torso)
9 Gnomes (one of each)
1 Specialty Arm pack
Team Deal #1 ($100)
6 Contraptions (two of each torso)
9 Gnomes (one of each)
2 Speciality Arm packs
====
Individual Contraptions will cost $14
Gnomes are $3 each
Speciality Arm pack will cost $7 (buzzsaw, spring loaded glove, hammer, and mushroom sprue)
Impcrusher is $14
Bazooka Jo-Nome Cannon Arm is still being priced ... right now I'd guess he's going to come in around $9.50

So if you wanted an Elfball team, the Impcrusher, and Bazooka Jo-Nome ... you need around $85.00

Okay ... looks like I'm missing a pic of one of the Dwarves. But I have 12 of the images posted now at the front of the thread.
The last 2 pics (the rightmost two of the bottom row) are the sculptor's visions of Star player Dwarves. One is fashioned after Jason from the Friday the 13th movies and the other is a Half-Dwarf.
I'm package up a few different versions of this team and not all of these figures are going to be marked as Thunder Hammer Dwarves. (for example ... Ramsay and I have presently marked the 3rd row right Dwarf for the Black Rock team). But I'lll be packing them up in groups of 8, 12, and 13.

The greens looked great and have already been sent to the caster to be cast up ... hopefully for a late January/early February release. There are 13 total sculpts. The one not pictured in this thread a variant of the runner with the ball with a different helmet/visor.
We'll sell the team in 3 different team deals. 1 with 12 of them less the Half-Dwarf. 1 with all 13. And one with Ramsay's pick for the best 7 for a Street Brawl team deal.
