The Walking DeadAnybody read this series?
I'm a bit of a late comer as I have only now read to about vol. 5 (please no untagged spoilers past that if you don't mind.
But every time I read on of these I think "Why isn't this a TV series?"

i have up to number 46 :)
its very honest about what it is. it says gritty and realistic, and it does exactly what it says on the tin.
as long as youre not expecting four color heroism, and plenty of zombies, youre all good.
although ive had to stop reading them for a bit, as my psychiatrist says i need something more uplifting :P

Not sure how many issues are included in each graphic novel (6?) So I must at around issue 30 or so.
Yeah, it's very dark and you get the feeling that none of the characters are safe. Rick is probably the only one that you count on not dying and then he's probably only safe from Death, he's not safe from physical and certainly not mental trauma.
I was on Tony Moore's website and I saw a sketch and I hope I didn't spoil myself. If I did I'm gonna be pretty sad when that character dies...and that says A LOT for the writing of this book.

It's a fantastic series. I'm caught up to the current issue, and I have no idea where they are going, in a good way.

I've read them all and it is consistently the most compelling and shocking series I read. Really great stuff. The same writer also did the popular Marvel Zombie series which is good fun and the great Invincible super-hero series.
