Thinking about doing a sculpt!

ok i've seen the amazing work the impact sculpters have been doing, and i've read all the articles and i think im ready to step up and give it a shot! ive worked with green stuff for years and years, just starting to use brown stuff (love this stuff give a much sharper line). all i need now is a little nudge in a general direction :D so what would you guys like me to give a wirl? looking for 2 or 3 popular ideas (that arent too extravergant <sp>) i'll then work up some sketches and then start the sculpt! im wanting this to be a real group effort, so come on guys :D!

Well, Father (a forum member, not me aul' Da) is working on a nautical game, so pirates are a good idea.

Impact! primarily does Fantasy Football minis, so something that will fit some of the more popular FF game systems would be nice, especially if there is no (decent) equivalent model in the range.

Perhaps you could post some pics of your existing greenstuff work (conversions etc.) to give an idea of your style? What races do you love best? Are you into muscled anatomy, neat smooth armour, monsters with teeth and hair, gruesome rotting creatures (and so on)...?

Unless you want to sculpt a whole team, a fig that can work as a standalone is good - often, this translates to a Big Guy, which is also easier to work on because of the extra size.

oops should have made that a little more obvious, yes it would defo be a FF mini. like the idea of doing a big guy, the only prob being that most big guys already have an official mini and herasy do some awsome alternatives to Grandma Wendy big gus, it would defo be a one off mini to begin with.

Grandma Wendy pulled a really mean trick on me and removed the Chaos Chainsaw player from both the UK and US stores as I finished the new rules.

A good attempt for someone like him would be a good one off figure.

Not sure if this would be too technical of a figure to do though ... just a possible suggestion.

I was never keen on that mini's KKK hood look anyway. A skull helmet would look much more the part.

You might want to look up some of Tarzom's work on TBB - he's built several excellent chainsaw wielders almost from scratch:

He definitely does not need to have the KKK hood.

However remember that Max is ST 4 if you are making a fig that would work.
