Thunder Hammer DwarfHi,
This is my first model of my new “Dwarven Rams”, testing the colorschema (maybe someone find the original in the NFL)
But i discovered an very important mistake for dwarf-players. It seems, that he have peakish elves-ears!
So i can never played vs. elves, because that laughter from the elves, i can never suffered

Nice! Looks like he just rammed a guy off a cliff! Brilliant!
Thats not a bad colourscheme either! Good job :) Hope you enjoy them. Only thing i can criticize (if you want it!) is the base looks a little "wooly" but the actual mini is a solid job!
Is the base static grass painted white? If you are looking to make snow I either use sand, paint grey and then drybrush up to white and add a little grass for the moss effect, or get some pro-create and paste it onto the base and paint white for a more realistic blanket snow effect.
Im selling my Norse team soon, and Ill post pics of my own sandy bases if you want to see an example of how I do it

The snow-effect is from Grandma Wendy. I tried other materials, but i found nothing, thats brilliant. Iff your norse-bases are ready, show pictures and tell, how you makes the snow.

So i can never played vs. elves, because that laughter from the elves, i can never suffered | I need to get the description on number #12 updated. He's a Half-Dwarf star player. Half Dwarf/Half Elven (no one in Elfball said that Dwarves despised Elves) (although probably safe to say he's not had an easy life). It also explains why he is half way between Elf and Dwarf in height.
Like the paint job ... good work.

as a lifelong Rams fan, I like the attempt, but I've never been a fan of suing metallics to paint cloth. I know the rams do wear gold pants, but I might have tried painting the gold using NMM tehniques instead.
Tom, half Dwarf half Elf??? Lay off the elderberry wine amigo...

A Dwelf ef? Well frankly good call, I'm tired of people hashing out the old Tolkien Dwarf vs. Elf nonsense so I'm always pleased to see anything that bucks the trend.

And I don't have issue if that was the sculptor's vision. Like I said ... I don't see why Dwarves HAVE to hate Elves. And if one chooses to believe that they do in Elfball as well ... well that means this guy had about as tough a life growing up as Johnny Cash's "Boy named Sue".

it's not about racism, it's the logistics of a 4 foot hairball and a 7 foot pointy actually getting down and dirty...

To quote an episode of my favourite TV show House (one of my birthday presents from my wife this year was a T-shirt sold by the House show with proceeds going to charity that says "Everybody Lies" ... best present I got this year) ... anyway I digress ...
In Season 3 episode 12, House is talking to a woman with Dwarfism whose former husband was standard size how they got down and dirty ... her reply was and I quote:

The Man in Black and House in one thread. Got to be good.
As to the height thing, even Andre the Giant managed to reproduce.

Nice looking team...if Bl00d B0wl doesn't outlaw Dwarves you can use them in Elfball.
Speaking of Star Players Tom. Would you be opposed to Star Players in Elfball? I know...first reaction from any fantasy football player is AAAAAAAHHHHH NO FRIGGIN' WAY!!!!!!!!!!!
But I think with Elfball's balanced system you could do it. It would also add some flavor to teams like Thunder Hammer Dwarves with only one position.
I personally think it would be fun to play a team of 7 nobodies and 1 star player.

No thanks.
Even in a prefectly balanced system, if you want a Star, grow them yourself.

Well I figured that would be the response...just because the bad taste of Bl00d B0wl's stars...but I think Elfball it could be fun.
That said, it's not something I would want to see a lot of.
Hell in Elfball you could make them yourself easily. Just thought it would be fun for this "Half Dwarf Star Player" to be given a name and a some fluff.
Hell, any fluff in Elfball would be really welcome right now.

Those are some nice looking bases! I'll have to copy that for at least one team. Perhaps a race of 'Ice' Elves when the Sylvan Elf team gets released.
As for the star players: My knee-jerk reaction is to say 'no', but I'd be interested in how it gets done in Elfball, if only to know what I'm saying 'no' to, you know?

A Star Player IF added to Elfball for a house rule.
Would need to be costed out. So take a base player ... give him skills at 5 points each ... and then I'd say add a 10 point cost to him.
That should if the balance of Elfball is correct ... work.
I'm not currently adding Stars ... but if we do for Bilbo, TH Dwarf 12, and Ham-Butty IV (coming soon) ... that's basically the formula I would look at.

The bases are the one thing I don't like. I don't particularly like scenic bases for wargames figures, but I really detest them for FF figs (the groundskeeper needs shooting).
Painting is nice though.

The Thunder Hammer Dwarfs already finished now (some little things will be added in future, like an impcrusher, 2 shieldbearers with football cup)
