Version 4.9 posted

I posted 4.9 because I think this should be it (really truely)

All 4.9 did was merge in the Optional Rules pages, fixed the spelling of a word, and made it more clear that a Star ADDS a dice roll to the total roll in addition to one success.

That's all.

Is there a reason that there are no modifiers on tranformation for an opponent holding the ball like there are on system shock?
Dark Lord

I thought it was because the ball grounded him?

Graahhh...

and I just FINISHED the translation....

Well, back to work

The optional rules are not listed in the TOC.

Dice description:
"The star symbol represents a conditional success. It counts as a single success and allows you to roll an extra die."

"Allows" sounds pretty much like you have the option to roll another die.
(I know it says "must" in the challenge description, but why confuse the reader?)

Tom, could you send me the word file of 4.9 please.

Thanks,

Two reasons.

1) The Frog is actually not a bad player ... Jog 7 is fast, Tackle 4 is good, and Dodge 6 means he tough to actually hit and can move lots a places. In effect, he's like a ST 3 Halfling with No Hands. So while he cannot handle that ball ... he's a pretty good tackler ... so its not a total loss.

2) I like players being turned into frogs ....

A tackle 4 Frog?

How big IS that frog?

Its that big tongue and the low centre of gravity don't you know.

You have a giant frog smack you in the face with his tongue and then blast a leap into your knees and see if you stay upright ...

Oh...it's a GIANT frog...got ya...

Nah, what ever it needs to optimize the game, make it perfect and a success, or just clearify the rules, is okay and should be done.

But sometimes I just have to complain a bit

Hey, great, we got an alternate cover!!!

Is that new or did I just miss it by always downloading the original version of the rules.

Itīs great work and a very, very good alternative!

Typo alert:

On page 4 in the face-off section it says,

'If the winning face-off player's Might was less than the opposing player's than he is receives one Momentum counter (see page 5) for each point of Might difference'.

Gotta lose the 'is'.

got it ... thanks

In that case should it be "then", not "than"?
