While I am at it here's a ref.

I have to start by giving credit where credit is due. I pretty much copied Norse's version so all the props to him. I'm just a copy cat plagurizer. You might think since she's all skin or black and white therefore easy to paint. Atleast that's what I thought but getting that much skin tones to blend was a challenge and I still need work on it. Still I'm happy with the result.

I think she's a pretty sculpt.

Sorry Tom. Very very long overdue. Now I have to get some stuff done for Jason. Serves me right for slacking off.

Overall looks good but i dont like the face. I mean...the face is not top quality as the rest of the work.

Probably the chicks needs more shadows to sharpen the overall look of the face. Now the sensation is a round-round face...

And again...blacklinning ;) Try to avoid it for future paintjobs.

But...these are minor criticism for a really good paintjob.

Is no-one going to paint her with Red hair?

I like this, it's nice to see you getting back into the swing of painting. Personally I find the face very doll-like, which isn't a bad thing. It's an interesting look, which I like. And the Striped top is great.

Critique? Well I think the hair is a little flat, but that's something I'm trying to work out how to solve myself. I know it involves off-white highlights to represent sheen, but I need to look at more pictures of long hair before I can figure out what the answer actually is.

Well I just wish I could paint to this standard.... Fantastic:???:

I like the look. The face looks cute but have to agree with Fen on the hair (In my humble opinion) lighter highlights on the ends of the strands would bring it to life more. You have domne this on others before and it looks great!

I thought about red hair. Maybe it's up to you Fen. Hair is going to be the death of me. Sometime I can get it right but more often than not it looks very flat. I did highlight with off white but I wasn't aggressive enough. I'll have to step it up there. I like the top hate the bottom. I did it serveral timesand still came out the same. I need more practice.

Grotuk

I actually like her face but it does look a bit roundish. I'll shade a bit more on my next one and see how that goes.

Now blacklining. I like blacklining. I know some people like yourself don't but for me it's a desired effect. I know it makes the figs look a bit cartoony but once again, a desired effect. However some of the blacklining is too thick and I have to learn how to control that. One more item on the BIG list of things to improve.

I do appreciate everyone comments whether good or bad. How else am I going to get better if people don't tell me what they don't like about my work? Seriously thanks guys.
Grotuk

I always found more interesting the criticism than the "what a great job"-style answer...thats why i try to do answer highlighting the cons of the work.

About the shades on the face..and all the skin in general, try adding some purple or red to the skin colour...it works really well. I'll try to paint this miniatures ASAP to illustrate the effect added with this recipe.
Urb

I love the idea of adding purple to the skin colour for shading. I can't wait to see your take.
Grotuk

A quick question...where is supposed to go the truncheon on this miniature?
Norse

on her left thigh, attached to the two leather straps.. if you want to add it..
